Would I dress like this? Sure. Would I dress like this if I were the Attorney General or the Homeland Secretary? No.
One cannot help wondering what Maestro would have made of this insufferable kitsch. Or for the environs upon which he now forever looks, making him, by the way, look even more like Karl Marx :-)
I have done it now, since Bonnie and Clyde were bugging me. New Year tree sure to become Birthday Tree-cum-May Day tree ;-)

The new "Knives Out" movie is a cheap giveaway to Russian speakers. I can tell right away the lost fortune will have to do with the box being a Faberge, which none of the characters realize, but a few hundred million viewers would, if they pay attention at the right moment.
At Teatro La Fenice, they don't take your coat if you are in the
cheap seats. And yes, on my 51st birthday I am once again in the cheapest seat in the house! But at least I am at the opera - and, I might be sitting on top of my coat, but I have full perfect view!
Full house for Nabucco in Riga tonight, and, by the way, quite the house they have here! And the public decorum of its dedicated audience puts me to shame. I was intimidated by -12C despite staying only 350 yards away, and was forced to wear boots and a sweater under my dress, which consequently made the signature pearls unfeasible. I am in Riga for other reasons tonight, but I am looking forward to it. Mostly local talent, by the looks of it.
Balcony again. But at least in this case it was sold out, because of Netrebko - so I bought what I could get my hands on. I'd deem myself too unkempt for partierrevright now, but I am easily the best dressed in the House, because the French dress code for an opera premiere appears to be something between a high school PTA meeting and a trip to the shopping mall.
apparently right now it is warmer in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire than in Clearwater FL where it's ... nearly freezing, according to my phone? What a weird world. I was there in January a year ago, and it was +23C. I guess we are now in the times when hell literally freezes over.
