Toretsk Area of Operations: The 51st Combined Arms Army will reinforce its effort to assault central Toretsk from Pivniche. In the Nui-York sector it is unlikely Russian attacks will be able to establish a foothold north of the Zalizna River in Nelipivka. Russian forces are faced with the reality of fighting through a dense urban cluster supported by reinforced fortifications on either side of a river valley, in which the Ukrainians control the most advantageous high ground. This will force the Russians to assault Toretsk to avoid fortifications. Russian forces will likely become bogged down in slow, grinding urban combat for the remainder of 2024 in the ToretskArea of Operations, providing ample time for the Ukrainians to strengthen field fortifications to the north in case Toretsk falls. #Toretsk #Nuiyork
