The man poured flammable liquid on himself and set himself on fire. The police knocked him to the ground and put him out. He received only minor burns and is being interrogated, Mash reports.

This is the head of the Volna Central Research Institute, 74-year-old Vladimir Arsenyev, Moskovsky Komsomolets claims. The research institute where he works develops and manufactures components for radio stations for the ground forces, aviation, and the Navy.

Last year, Arsenyev was accused of deliberately disrupting the delivery deadlines for orders for the war in Ukraine. According to the prosecution, he stole documentation for the developments of another enterprise. Later, an inspection found no violations, and Arsenyev filed a lawsuit to protect his honor and dignity, Mash claims.

At the same time, Baza writes that Arsenyev wrote a statement to the Investigative Committee, in which he reported that the enterprise was being deliberately bankrupted and was not allowed to fulfill the state defense order.
