In setting the right expectations for this position, it's important to understand that at Shastic, you’ll be working for a U.S. Silicon Valley company developing 'state-of-the-art' technology. This means it will be a challenging role, which will require a lot of self-discipline and finding novel solutions to problems that haven't yet been solved.
Basic training and onboarding will be provided but you must have an advanced foundation in building web applications with Ruby on Rails and RSpec. This is a full-time, remote role and it is available starting immediately.
Job Responsibilities:
Create RSpec specifications in collaboration with the leadership team.
Develop and deploy refactorized code that is functional and passes all quality specs.
Maintain good software development practices such as design patterns, refactorization, tests and documentation.
Assist with live deployments to AWS production environments.
You must:
Have experience building complex web applications.
Be an excellent communicator (English).
Have 5 years of experience developing Ruby on Rails applications.
You should:
Be a fast self-learner.
Be very disciplined, detailed-oriented and a self-starter.
Job Type: Full-time.
Location: Remote
Salary: Starting at $3,200 USD monthly. Compensation is in US dollars transferred directly into your bank account every two weeks via Transferwise.
We use Ruby 2.4 and Ruby 2.5, Rails 5 and % coverage tests should be pretty high (70% - 90%).
