Today, while on patrol, one of our trainees and their field training officer saw a woman running on Hwy 101, just south of the Bicentennial Lane exit. They worried she might get hurt by traffic, so they stopped to help.

The woman was trying to save an injured cat on the side of the road. The deputies helped by taking the cat to @vcaaccsonoma for care. Then, they made sure the woman got back on her way safely.

If you see an animal that needs help, please pull over somewhere safe and call 911. We want to keep you and our animal friends safe!
