Ukraine has received its first shipment of US liquefied natural gas in 2026. Nearly 100 million cubic meters, enough to provide gas to about 700,000 families for one month during the winter period, arrived via Poland, according to Naftogaz. The delivery was organized with Poland’s state-owned company ORLEN and was received in late January.

Lt. Gen. Vladimir Alekseev, the first deputy head of the GRU of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, who was shot this morning in Moscow, was the senior representative of Russia at the negotiations in Mariupol in May 2022 during the exit of the Mariupol garrison from Azovstal.
