Oxford city will be divided into six zones.

Drivers must apply for a permit that grants a ration of 100 free travel days between the zones.

Those exceeding their driving limit will be fined.

And the idea of a 15 minute city is nothing new.

It comes from the Soviet Union where they called it a "micro district".

The idea is to contain people into small zones, with those areas containing all essential services.

Private car use is discouraged and people are expected to walk or take the bus instead.

Hey world - are those of you who are not on the Left, running into the same judgemental coldness from some liberal friends and loved ones, due to the death of Alex Pretti at the hands of ICE, that we just recently got past, due to vaccines? I don’t know what ‘right action’ was supposed to be at that event. Bringing a loaded weapon to a violent protest is a dangerous thing to do. But I can’t stand the way the Left is creating a hagiography for Pretti, and freezing up emotionally again in judgement in relation to the rest of us. I try to explain that they were right not to want mayhem on Jan 6 2020 and that this too is an insurrection, and that if they don’t like the laws leading ICE to be in MN, they can change them. Last night hundreds of craze lunatics broke into a hotel and began beating up the staff because two ICE officers were staying there.

After several hours, the two agents were able to push them out.

Sir Nicholas Winton helped 669 children — most of them Jewish — escape the Holocaust.

His humanitarian accomplishments would remain unknown and unnoticed by the world for nearly 50 years.

Then in 1988 he was invited to the BBC TV show That's Life!.

There he sat — unknowingly — as part of the studio audience, surrounded by the children he had rescued. They were now adults.

Then they surprised him with one of the greatest gifts of all time. Their presence.

They were there, all alive — because of him.

Not only was he reunited with dozens of children he had saved, but he was also introduced to many of their children and grandchildren.

Please remember Sir Nicholas Winton, for his humanitarian operation known as the Czech Kindertransport.

Sir Nicholas George Winton, a British stockbroker, and a gift to this planet, left us on July 1, 2015, at the age of 106.

May his memory forever be a blessing and inspiration to all.

I live part time in a low-income neighborhood in Brooklyn. EVERY DAY one can see American children, disabled people, and elderly people in need. I am ashamed as a former Leftist, that the armies of left wing ladies (and gents) have chosen people who are not Americans, who are here via breaking our laws, above everyone else, for whom to lay down their bodies and risk arrest. Imagine if these armies of do-gooders directed their "radical compassion" to Americans in need.
