All the time Lin. It’s so normal and things are a bit off kilter lately, Haha, but like yourself I get up and try to say a prayer or read scripture and then things start to come together. Some days though are really trying and those are the ones where I just want to sleep for three days straight. I think it’s normal and even healthy. If we didn’t get effected by things we would either not have to grow in faith and love of our God, which’s means we are perfect (we know that’s silly) or we would be narcissists. 😊✝️😊

Mercer Law School named its trial courtroom after me in 2016.

I had pledged $1M to the law school. I did not ask for the courtroom to be named after me.

I just wanted to give back something to the school that had helped me become a trial lawyer.

In 2019, President Bill Underwood asked me if I would be willing to serve on the Mercer Board Trustees. I said sure.

Then I leaned that lawyers at King & Spalding blocked the effort to put me on the Board. Thereafter, Mercer Law School named a smaller courtroom after Frank C. Jones and Griffin B. Bell. No donation was made on their behalf.

Frank was my first father-in-law. My marriage to his daughter ended in divorce after I admitted infidelity and wrongdoing to the family in 1979.

I asked God to forgive me if my sins. He did.

I don’t think King & Spalding ever forgave me. I think the King & Spalding “club” always wanted to “put me in my place.” I was never “in the club.” I grew up on the “wrong side of the tracks.”

Paul Murphy of King & Spalding was co-counsel for DaVita, a dialysis giant, that had to pay my whistleblower clients $492M in 2015 after I proved a scheme of Medicare fraud and lawyer misconduct involving DaVita.

Sally Yates was the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of GA at the time and she had refused to intervene in the case for the government.

My clients insisted the case go forward. I was the lawyer who litigated the case for them. And they won against all odds.

I suspect King & Spalding, Yates, Murphy, and others were not happy as I gave them ALL a black eye.

Just as I had done to the FBI, Louis Freeh, NBC, Tom Brokaw, and Cox Enterprises in the Richard Jewell case.
