*63-yr-old man crushed to death by train in Qazigund*

Qazigund, Jul 30 (KNO): A 63-year-old man was crushed to death by a train in Badragund area of Qazigund in South Kashmir's Anantnag district on Friday morning.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a retired government employee of Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) Department namely Ghulam Nabi Chopan, son of Abdul Aziz Chopan of Vessu Qazigund was crushed by a train at around 11:00 am, resulting in his on spot death.

“It was not known whether he has committed suicide,” official said, adding that police has started investigation in this regard.

Jammu, July 30 (GNS): Body of wife of a Sub Inspector of Railway Police Force was found, five days after she along with her husband and their two children died after a car they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into river Chenab along the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban district.

There was no trace of the Sub Inspector of RPF, Rakesh Kumar, and the two children as yet.

Official sources told GNS that body of woman, Asha Rani, was recovered at Reasi.

On July 26, Kumar lost control over the vehicle he was driving with wife and their two children onboard and the car skidded off the road, plunging into the fast flowing river at Mehar, a place between Ramban -Banihal. Soon after the accidents team of Police and QRT reached the spot and started searches. However success eluded them . While body of the woman has been found, searches for the railway cop and the children continue. (GNS)
*Grenade attack in Baramulla, Two CRPF personnel, civilian injured*

Srinagar, July 30:(GNS) Two paramilitary CRPF and a civilian was injured after suspected militants hurled a grenade on CRPF party at Khanpora Bridge in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.

A senior Police officer told GNS that militants attacked by lobbing a grenade towards CRPF party at Khanpora Bridge in which two CRPF personnel and a civilian recieved splinter injuries. They were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the fleeing militants, they said.

*Civilian, 4 CRPF personnel injured in Baramulla grenade attack*

Baramulla, Jul 30 (KNO): A civilian and four CRPF personnel were injured in a grenade attack by suspected militants in Khanpora area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday afternoon.

A senior police official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that four CRPF personnel including an ASI rank officer were injured after suspected militants lobbed a grenade at security forces in Khanpora area.

He said that a civilian also received injuries in the attack. “The injured were rushed to a nearby healthcare facility for treatment,” he said.

He identified the injured CRPF personnel as ASI Kisku, constable Dayananad Kumar, Kamlesh Singh and Gautam Mandal.

The official said that soon after the attack the area was cordoned off to nab the attackers—(KNO)

*32-yr-old man hangs self to death in Sopore*

Sopore, Jul 30 (KNO): A 32-year-old man has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to death in Chankhan Sopore ares of north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Friday afternoon.

Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a man was found hanging at his residence in Chankhan Sopore.

They said that he was rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, local police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation—(KNO)
