I’m not 100% where to find it online, but I spoke with Paul Mironov on RT just now, most of all about the myth of “western democracy” as it relates to Ukraine.

-Brittney Griner is not “wrongfully detained,” in a legal sense. She’s legally detained over a shitty law, but it’s a law that’s in effect on most of the earth, unfortunately, along with Russia. I leave my things in the west when I go past Hungary or so.
-When weed is illegal, moving it through an airport is extra risky, and carries harsher treatment. This is also the case anywhere in the west for smuggling a controlled substance.
-Russian bureaucracy, especially in the judicial system, is immense and slow-moving, and even the Kremlin has little say on judicial process. She’s being treated how anyone would be treated.
-She was arrested *before* the Special operation in Ukraine began. It was not a targeted hostage scenario. US sanctions levied *after* her arrest made her situation much stickier, as did the Biden admin’s designation of a “wrongful detainment.”
-I hate that she is in that scenario, and I understand for US radicals how the detainment of a black woman is always especially unsettling, but we have to understand it in its tragic context, recognize that the US government has exacerbated the scenario, and not devour more anti-Russian propaganda.
-I don’t say any of this to blame her, to justify the relevant laws, or even the detainment itself; I have comrades in Russia who are dedicated to changing cannabis policy there, and I might be louder about that if I were a citizen of Russia and living there full-time.
-But if we’re looking at a foreign sovereign state, amidst a global conflict, as citizens of a predatory empire which leads humanity in incarceration, we have got to put our analyses in perspective.
-To be clear, I don’t believe she should be in jail for weed. I don’t believe anyone should be in jail for weed, AND I recognize that cultural conditions in other countries are simply different.
-None of this changes the fact that Russia is a greater force for good on earth, especially in the larger geopolitical sense, than any western nation which happens to have legal weed.
In essence, what I’m really saying is that a sovereign Syrian state, a Denazified Ukraine and free Donbass, and a multipolar economic challenge to US hegemony is more important than an individual case of bad weed policy taking effect.
I feel for Brittney nonetheless.

Local sources report that groups of Ukrainian troops wearing Russian military uniforms, with pinned St. George ribbons, were noted in Slavyansk.
Russia troops are not present in Slavyansk. All civilians are advised to stay far away from such Ukrainian militants and not to approach them under any circumstances.

Dawg, we’re about 4 months too late for your “I’m in no way saying this to support Putin, but Ukraine isn’t the best place on earth” posts.
If you feel the need to qualify your anti-imperialist statements by passively genuflecting to the liberal west’s mouth-foaming hatred of Putin, your statements aren’t serious, and they aren’t effectively anti-imperialist.

It won’t happen, as the US is probably characteristically completely bluffing just to drum up instability
But if China did actually staple Nancy’s jet
That would be the single coolest moment in world history

@bcarloscarvalho photographed the lobby lounge at the Donbass palace, the primary meet-up for journalists in Donestk. It was hit this AM by Ukrainian shells, amidst a ton of other civilian targets in the center.
I spent HOURS in this room.

We all knew Brittney Griner would be given a heavy sentence
As soon as Biden labeled it a “wrongful detainment” and Blinken began to publicly discuss negotiation, the US turned this into a diplomatic standoff, and that’s all it is now
The individual situation is terribly unsettling, but it is nestled in the backdrop of much deeper global issues which affect millions of people across generations

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told about the possible consequences of Ukraine's shelling of the Zaporozhye NPP.
"In the event of an accident at the Zaporozhye NPP, a global man-made catastrophe will occur, which in terms of the scale of radioactive contamination will significantly exceed the consequences of accidents at the Chernobyl and Fukushima nuclear power plants. A population within a radius of 5,300 sq. km, about 420 km long, would be in the radiation contamination zone <... >
The Black Sea and the Bosphorus Strait will become unsuitable for navigation for a long time. The coasts of Turkey, Georgia, Abkhazia, Bulgaria and Romania will be infected with high levels of radiation."

Of course, the fallout of destroying the primary access to Crimea via the Russian Federation mainland is that Russia now has a compelling reason to advance further toward Odessa
Transnistria-Donetsk land bridge, here we come?
But also demonstrates, yet again, how the entire UA strategic approach, dictated by Washington, is focused on destabilizing Rus economic/civilian infrastructure, escalating Ukrainian commitment to long, chaotic war (a la Syria), not abt achieving outcomes for Ukr or Rus people

Every civilian I spoke to in Donbass had the same story: under Ukrop Occupation, you were not allowed free movement, and under Ukrainian attack, civilian targets
are first.
Under Russian occupation/liberation,
you are allowed free movement (I experienced this myself), and under Russian attack, civilian
targets are not aimed at where there are not
military installations.
This is for a few reasons
For one, I think Putin sincerely believes in his own convictions, and wants Russia’s army to operate with ethics.
Two, purely from a standpoint of PR/alliance-building, he knows that every nation outside of US control expects senseless murder of civilians from the U.S./NATO and their Allies, and he wishes to draw the contrast.
Three, Russia is re-absorbing many of these territories. They are not interested in annihilating their own land and infrastructure, or in alienating local populations and inspiring the kind of insurgence that the US will be hellbent on supporting for years to come.

🚨 PALESTINE ACTION LAUNCHES #SHUTELBITDOWN US TARGET MAP: tinyurl.com/elbitmap
🧵 Read our statement: Why Target Elbit?
Every hour, we receive thoughtful, well-aimed suggestions or inquiries about alternate targets for direct action: political offices, Embassies, NGOs, other weapons companies, intersections, etc., all of which have clear ties to the Zionist occupation of Palestine, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
It is right and just to rebel and act boldly in all places and moments, with all tactics, without a doubt. The more chaos ensues in the halls and courtyards of the normalizers and genocidaires, the better.
But focus in targeting, from a strategic perspective, is the most effective route, which is why our campaign is singularly focused on Elbit Systems, Israel’s *largest* weapons producer.
Palestine Action US has been given the privilege of carrying the banner of one of the Western world’s most successful grassroots direct action campaigns. Palestine Action UK, founded over three years ago by a Palestinian-Iraqi woman, has successfully shut down two of Elbit’s UK locations, permanently, and got HSBC to divest from Elbit. Their pressure has escalated over the years into a constant, relentless campaign, to the point where we see disruptions at Elbit in the UK nearly every day. Since October 7th, that pressure has only grown, and also exploded into the US, Canada, Australia, and everywhere Elbit is headquartered. In that time, while other weapons firms’ profits have skyrocketed, Elbit shares have taken a nosedive.
If one wishes to help build a city, one must first build a house, so others might see how it was built. Like other historic campaigns which have isolated the enablers of injustice, we start with Elbit, we shut down their operations, and we strike fear in the hearts of their staff and their investors. Once Elbit Systems of America has been vanquished, we will have a replicable model for targeted direct action, which might be used to target every single conspirator in the occupation of Palestine and the subjugation of the colonized world.
Further, we absolutely uphold the necessity of mass demonstrations, marches, and softer forms of direct action. These are all elements of the elaborate tapestry of resistance, but marching alone isn’t enough. Thousands have been arrested in the US for civil disobedience since Oct 7; most of these arrests have been purely symbolic. Imagine if these bodies were blockading arms shipments, dismantling weapons companies, and actually threatening capital.
Power has shown it doesn’t move, even when millions have taken the streets, unless their profits are directly affected, or ruling class fear abounds. Beware of those who wish to co-opt the language of Direct Action for the benefit of their own opportunism and brand-building. Beware of “Shut it Down,” actions which are little more than theatrical performances, meant to contain the revolutionary instinct.
For those who don’t live near a primary Elbit Systems location, there ARE targets near you. Bank of New York Mellon is Elbit System’s primary investor, along with being the fiscal sponsor for the Friends of the IDF, a non-profit which allows US citizens to materially support the Zionist Occupation Army. We have officially put Bank of New York Mellon on notice as a target of Palestine Action, and they are in major cities across the country and across the globe.
Use this map to find Elbit Systems or Bank of New York Mellon locations near you, connect with Palestine Action US, and build an affinity group today.
Together, we become ungovernable, Together, we defeat the Zionist beast, beginning with Elbit Systems.
