Shaping Nuclear Tomorrow 😁
The journey of our nuclear specialists is far from over — but one major milestone is now behind them. After two intensive weeks in Moscow filled with deep-dive sessions, hands-on modeling, and the kind of “lightbulb moments” they’re ready to move forward.
So what exactly did the fellows explore?
🔺 Forging a nation’s nuclear future
🔺 Tools and models that show where low-carbon systems are headed and why nuclear matters
🔺 The real economics of clean energy
🔺 Non-electric applications for nuclear energy
🔺 The world of SMRs
A highlight of the program was the open discussions with Maria Oseeva, Head of International Nuclear Infrastructure Projects at Rosatom International Network, and Sergey Brilev, journalist and President of the Global Energy Association, where participants delved into not only the “how” of nuclear development but also the “why.”
And the fellowship is only gaining speed. Ahead is St. Petersburg, new expert panels, and the long-awaited visit tothe Leningrad NPP . Keep following — the most exciting insights are still on the way. 👍

Last, but definitely not least 🌟
The moment has come to wrap up the year’s final fellowship, and unforgettable in its own way. Specialists from Argentina, Bolivia, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan set out to gain a comprehensive overview of key Russian nuclear technologies and their practical application across various fields: in energy, medicine, agriculture, and industry.
So what shaped this experience?
🔴 First — the depth of learning. Participants explored how nuclear newcomer countries build their national positions, dove into modern energy planning tools, and unpacked technological solutions related to the operation of large-capacity NPPs and SMRs, as well as peaceful nuclear technologies.
🔴 Then — practice. Fellows visited the Leningrad NPP-2 with its modern Generation 3+ VVER-1200 reactors, where they were shown the control room, turbine generator unit, and cooling towers for the secondary circuit condenser.
🔴 They touched history at the world’s first NPP in Obninsk, and learned about best practices in nuclear medicine and the use of radiation technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer at the A.Tsyb Medical Radiological Research Center.
🔴 And for the first time ever, this program became a three-city journey — Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Obninsk — offering not just professional insight, but a deeper cultural and historical connection to the places where nuclear science was shaped.
This chapter ends — but the connections don’t. Because it builds understanding, trust, and long-term cooperation, shaping the future of peaceful nuclear technologies.
