ఒకానొకప్పుడు ఒక ఋషి ఆయన శిష్యుడు నది నుండి వారి ఆశ్రమానికి వెళ్తున్నారు. ఋషి ఒక మహావృక్షం ముందు ఆగి ప్రసన్నంగా నవ్వుతూ "తథాస్తు" అన్నాడు.

గురువు గారి చర్యకి కారణం ఏంటి అని అడిగాడు శిష్యుడు.

" ఆ మహావృక్షం తన కోరికని పక్కనున్న మరో వృక్షం తో చెప్తుంటే నాకు వినబడి తథాస్తు అన్నాను."

"ఏమిటా కోరిక గురువు గారూ"

"తాను చక్రవర్తి అయి భూమండలాన్ని ఏలాలని."

"వచ్చే జన్మలోనా"

"కాదు ఈ జన్మలోనే"

శిష్యుడు పగలబడి నవ్వాడు, "గురువు గారూ ఇది మరీ గొంతెమ్మ కోరిక కదూ.. అంత అత్యాశ తగునా? అర్హత చూసుకోవాల్సిన పనిలేదా? "

" అర్హతకేం నాయనా.. జీవితమంతా ప్రతి ఫలాపేక్ష లేకుండా ఫలాలనిచ్చింది. ఎన్నో జీవ రాశులకి ఆశ్రయం ఇచ్చింది. అదంతా పుణ్యమే కదా"

" అవుననుకోండి. కానీ చెట్టు చక్రవర్తి ఎలా అవుతుంది"

" ఏమో.. భగవానుడు సంకల్పిస్తే ఏమైనా కావచ్చు."

ఆ రాత్రి పెద్ద గాలివాన వచ్చి ఆ మహా వృక్షం నేలకూలింది.

శిష్యుడు నవ్వుకున్నాడు. అంతటితో ఆ విషయం మరిచి పోయాడు.

సంవత్సరం తరువాత...

శిష్యుడు పరుగు పరుగున వస్తూ "గురువు గారూ.. ఈ వింత విన్నారా….శ్రీరామచంద్రుల వారి పాదుకలకి పట్టాభిషేకం చేశారు వారి సోదరులు భరతుల వారు. ఇక నుండీ పధ్నాలుగేళ్ళు పాదుకలు సామ్రాజ్యాన్ని పరిపాలిస్తాయట!!!"

గురువు గారు నవ్వి, "చెట్టు చక్రవర్తి ఎలా అవుతుంది అన్నావు. అయింది కదా.."

"అంటే.."

అవున్నాయనా… ఆ మహా వృక్షం కలపతోనే వడ్రంగులు పాదుకలు చేశారు. అవి శ్రీరామచంద్రుల వారికి సమర్పించారు.. ఎన్ని జన్మలు ఎంత తపస్సు చేసిందో...ఎన్ని పుణ్యాలు చేసుకుందో ఆ మహా వృక్షం పాదరక్షలుగా మారి శ్రీరామచంద్రుల వారి పాదాల వద్దకు చేరింది.

శ్రీరామచంద్రుల వారు ఆ పాదుకల్ని భరతుల వారికివ్వడం, భరతుల వారు పాదుకలకి పట్టాభిషేకం చేయడం జరిగాయి. ఆ విధంగా చక్రవర్తి కావాలన్న ఆ మహా వృక్షం కోరిక నెరవేరింది." అని చెప్పిన గురువు గారికి సాష్టాంగ ప్రణామం చేశాడు శిష్యుడు.


అందుకే అంటారు సంకల్పం (కోరిక ) బలం గా ఉండాలి అప్పుడు అందరి సహకారం ఉంటుంది అని...!

అర్థరాత్రి రెండుగంటల సమయంలో వర్షంలోతడిసిన వ్యక్తి "అమ్మా సీతమ్మ తల్లి .. ఆకలేస్తుందమ్మా" అని పిలవగానే ఎంతో ఆప్యాయంగా వంటచేసి అన్నం పెట్టి ,దుప్పటి ,వస్త్రాలు ఇవ్వగలిగిన ఔదార్యవతి డొక్కాసీతమ్మ తల్లి వర్ధంతి ఏప్రియల్ 28.

శ్రీ మతి డొక్కా సీతమ్మ గారు తూర్పు గోదావరి జిల్లాలోని రామచంద్రాపురం తాలుకా , మండపేట గ్రామంలో 1841, అక్టోబరు రెండోవారంలో జన్మించారు. ఈమె తండ్రి అనుపిండి భవానీశంకరం, తల్లి నరసమ్మ గార్లు. సీతమ్మ గారి తండ్రి శంకరం గారిని గ్రామస్తులు 'బువ్వన్న' గారనే పేరుతో పిలుస్తుండేవారు. దానికి కారణం ఆయన అడిగిన వారందరికీ 'బువ్వ'(అన్నం) పెట్టటమే!

అటువంటి తండ్రికి కూతురిగా జన్మించిన సీతమ్మ గారు అన్నార్తుల ఆకలిని తీర్చిన మహా ఇల్లాలు. విద్యావాసనలు లేని లేని సాధారణ గృహిణి ఆమె.బాల్యంలో సీతమ్మ గారికి తల్లితండ్రులు కథలు, పాటలు, పద్యాలు అన్నింటినీ నేర్పారు. ఆ రోజుల్లో స్త్రీలు విద్య నేర్చుకునే అవకాశాలు సరిగా లేకపోవడంతో ప్రాచీన సంప్రదాయాలకు తలవంచి పెద్దబాలశిక్ష వంటి గ్రంధాన్ని కూడా పూర్తిగా అధ్యయనం చెయ్యకుండా నే పెళ్ళికి సిద్ధపడాల్సి వచ్చింది. సీతమ్మ గారి బాల్యంలోనే ఆమె తల్లి నరసమ్మ గారు మరణిస్తే, ఇంటిని చక్కదిద్దే భారం సీతమ్మ గారి మీద పడింది. దానిని ఒక పవిత్రమైన బాధ్యతగా ఆమె స్వీకరించింది.

గోదావరినదీ పరీవాహక ప్రాంతంలోని కొన్ని గ్రామాలను లంక గ్రామాలని అంటారు. అటువంటి ఒక లంక గ్రామం లంకగన్నవరం. ఆ గ్రామంలో డొక్కాజోగన్న పంతులు గారనే పెద్ద ధనవంతుడు ఉండేవాడు. ఆయన ధనవంతుడే కాకుండా పెద్ద రైతు కూడా. వీటన్నిటినీ మించి మంచి వేదపండితుడు. బువ్వన్నగారు సీతమ్మను డొక్కా జోగన్న గారికిచ్చి అతి వైభవంగా వివాహాన్ని జరిపించారు. సీతమ్మగారు అత్తవారింట్లో అడుగు పెట్టగానే ఆమె ఇంటి పేరు 'డొక్కా' గా మారింది. ఆమెలో సహజంగా ఉన్న ఉదారగుణం, దాతృత్వం రోజు రోజుకూ పెరగసాగాయి. జోగన్న, సీతమ్మ గార్ల దాంపత్యం అన్యోన్యమైనది. ఆ పుణ్య దంపతులను చూసి చుట్టుపక్కల గ్రామాల వారందరూ గొప్పగా చెప్పుకునే వారు. ఆప్యాయతా, ఆదరణలకు నిలయంగా వారి ఇంటిని గురించి ఆచుట్టుపక్కల గ్రామస్తులందరూ ఆ రోజుల్లో గొప్పగా చెప్పుకునేవారు.

లంక గ్రామాలకు చేరుకోవాలంటే, నేటికీ కూడా పడవే ముఖ్యమైన ప్రయాణ సాధనం. జోగన్నగారి గ్రామమైన లంకగన్నవరం త్రోవలో ఉండటంచేత, చాలామంది ప్రయాణీకులు వారి ఇంటనే భోజనాలు చేసేవారు. ఏ వేళ అతిధులు వచ్చినా వారికి అన్నపానాదులు లేవని చెప్పకుండా వారికి సకల మర్యాదాలు చెయ్యటం ఒక పవిత్రకార్యంగా ఆ దంపతులు స్వీకరించారు.

అచిరకాలంలోనే ఉభయ గోదావరి జిల్లాలలో 'అపర అన్నపూర్ణ' గా శ్రీమతి సీతమ్మ గారు పేరుపొందారు. లంక గ్రామాలకు తరచుగా వరదల వల్ల ప్రమాదాలు ఏర్పడేవి. నిలువ నీడలేని బాధితులను ఆదుకొని వారికి వసతి, భోజన సదుపాయాలను నిరాటంకంగా ఏర్పాటు చేసే ఉదాత్త గుణశీల సీతమ్మగారు. మగవాడు సంపాదించి ఎంత తెచ్చినా, ఔదార్యం లేని స్త్రీ ఉంటే ఆ సంపాదనకు అర్ధం, పరమార్ధం ఉండవు. అన్నదానం చేసి మానవతకు అర్ధం చెప్పిన మహిళాశిరోమణి సీతమ్మగారు. అలా అచిరకాలంలోనే ఆమె ఖ్యాతి భారతదేశమంతా వ్యాపించటమే కాకుండా, ఆంద్ర దేశపు కీర్తిని ఇంగ్లండు వరకు వ్యాపింపజేసిన మహా ఇల్లాలు సీతమ్మ గారు. అన్నం పెట్టేటప్పుడు ఆమె చూపే మాతృప్రేమ మరువరానిది.

ఆవిడజీవితమంతా మాతృప్రేమను పంచిన మహనీయురాలు గొప్ప నిరతాన్నదాత. వచ్చిన వాళ్లకి లేదనకుండా అన్నం పెట్టేవారు. ఆవిడ ధృతి, దీక్ష ఎంత గోప్పవంటే - ఆవిడ జీవితములో ఒకేఒక్కసారి అంతర్వేది లక్ష్మి నరసింహ స్వామి దర్శనానికని బయలుదేరారు. బయలుదేరి, గోదావరి వంతెన వద్ద పల్లకి ఆపారు. ఆవిడ పల్లకిలో కూర్చునారు, బోయీలు అలసిపోయి గట్టు మీద కూర్చున్నారు. అటుగా పి.గన్నవరం వైపు వెళ్ళిపోతున్న ఒక బృందంలో పిల్లలు ఆకలి అని ఏడుస్తుంటే, పెద్దవాళ్ళు "ఒక్క అరగంట లో గన్నవరం వెళ్లీపోతాం... అక్కడ సీతమ్మ గారు మనకు అన్నం పెడతారు" అని మాట్లాడుకోవటం విన్నారు సీతమ్మగారు. వెంటనే ఆవిడ అంతర్వేది వెళ్ళటం మానేసి, పల్లకి వెనక్కి తిప్పెయ్యండి... వీళ్ళకి అన్నం పెట్టాలి అని వెనుకకు వెళ్ళిపోయారు.ఇది ఆమె ఆమె ఔదార్యానికి ఓ మచ్చుతునక.

నిరంతర అన్నదానంతో
ఆఖరికి ఆవిడ పరిస్థితి ఎక్కడికి వెళ్లిపోయిందంటే, అందరికీ పెట్టి పెట్టి, ఆ దంపతులకి తినటానికి ఏమీ లేకుండా పోయింది.

An amazing story to read !!
It was the summer of 1990. Two young girls were traveling from Lucknow to Delhi for some Railway training. There were two member of Parliaments also traveling in the same coach. But the 12-14 assistants of these two parliamentarians misbehaved with these 2 girls and even passed obscene and abusive comments. They reached Delhi the next morning without being physically harmed by the goons, though they were emotionally wrecked. One of the girl was so traumatised that she decided not to go for the next level of training scheduled in Ahmedabad. So, one stayed back and other one left for Ahmedabad. It was an overnight train and the reservation was not confirm. She and another friend of her's( different friend) had to board the train after taking permission from TTE. TTE allowed them to sit inside a first class compartment but quietly.

To their shock, they found two male co-passengers inside the compartment. Both looked like politicians. The two male introduced themselves as BJP leaders from Gujarat. After sometime, the two politicians got up and left their berth. The two female thought that the two gentlemen have left and they slept in their berth. The two gentlemen returned after sometime and slept on the floor.

In the morning, the two girls got up and thanked the gentlemen. One of the gentlemen told the females that incase of any problem in Gujarat they can contact them. But since it was a Railway arranged trip the girls politely refused. One of the females asked their name to write it down on her diary. One of the gentleman took the diary, wrote the names and left. The two names were Shanker Sinh Vaghela and Narendra Modi. The two females were Utpalparna Hazarika and Leena Sarma(Google these names). Power of a Hug

A little Boy came from School on Saturday and told his Father, my Teacher has given us Homework to Hug Ten people and tell them :
~Be Patient
~Trust life &
~I Love you

The Father said - "OK, we will go to the Mall tomorrow morning and do it ".

The Child woke up all spirited up in the Morning, got ready, went to his Father & said -
"Lets go !!"

The Father said -"there is Heavy rainfall, I fear nobody might be there."
The Child still insisted.

So the Father drove in the horrible rainy weather to the Mall.

They stood in the mall for One hour and the little Boy
Hugged Nine people.

His Father then said -
"Now lets go, its raining heavily and we shouldn't get stuck !"

Sad the Boy went along with his Father's orders.

As they where driving past,
the Boy pointed at a random house & Said, "Please Father, Just one person is remaining,
I will go to that House and
complete my Homework"!

The Father smiled and pulled the car over.

The Boy went to the door and began to ring the bell and pound the door strongly with his knuckles.
He kept waiting.
Finally the Door was opened gently.

A Lady came out with a very sad look and gently asked:
What can I do for you, Son ?

With radiant eyes and a bright smile the Boy said:
"Ma'am my Teacher has told to Hug Ten people and tell them :
Be Patient,
Trust Life and
I Love you!

I have Hugged Nine People.
May I Hug you and pass the Message to you.

The Lady embraced him, and started crying profusely.

On seeing that the Boy's Father came out of the car.
He went to the Lady and asked - "Any problem Madam ?"

She composed herself,
took them inside, gave them a cup of Tea and then told his Father -"My Husband died a while ago leaving me totally alone in this World.
Today Morning the loneliness took over me.
since Morning I have been thinking that this is the End of the Road for me.

Then I took a Chair and a rope to my Bedroom and decided to end my Life.
As I was seeing the World for One Last time, I begged for Forgiveness to God and then heard this knock.

I thought to leave it, But then nobody comes to visit me.

When I opened the door,
I couldn't believe it when my eyes saw this little Boy and when he said-
Be Patient,
Trust Life and
I Love you !
I knew it was a Message from God.

Suddenly I realized I don't want to Die anymore and decided to make something productive of my Life.

Give Positive Thoughts to People.
Tell them you stand by them.
And even if nothing else, just Listen to them, give them a hug, You could be the medium that saves a Life !

Hug Ten people today & stay blessed forever.
