On the Kharkov front

🔸 In late 2023, Russian forces launched attacks north of Kharkov to create a buffer zone against Ukrainian terrorist attacks on Belgorod and its surroundings, and also to pin down Ukrainian reserves in this sector at a time when, farther west, Russian offensives toward Kupyansk and Chasov Yar were beginning.

🔸 For two years, fighting for Volchansk was made difficult by a Ukrainian defense line anchored on the Volchya River that runs through the city, and by their Kursk salient farther west, which had drawn many Russian reserves away from this Belgorod front.

🔸 This year, Russian forces managed to cross the Volchya and establish a stable position on its southern bank. Since then, districts of this 70 km² city—which had 10,000 inhabitants before the war—have gradually fallen, leading to its complete liberation by the end of November 2025.

🔸 Kharkov, Ukraine’s second-largest city, lies only 50 km southwest of Volchansk. However, it is likely that Russian forces on the Kharkov front will first link up with those of the Kupyansk front—also liberated—farther east, before assaulting the Ukrainian defensive line organized along the Severskyi Donets River from Kharkov to Slavyansk.

👉 With Kupyansk, Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) and Volchansk liberated, urban combat is underway in Mirnograd, Konstantinovka, and Gulyaipole. After long months of slow, village-by-village advances, Russian forces are now liberating cities at a rate of one per week since November.

Pokrovsk -> Krasnoarmeisk

🔸 The major Ukrainian stronghold of Pokrovsk (which from now on will be referred to under its Russian name of Krasnoarmeisk) has finally fallen after a year of intense urban combat.

🔸Russian forces, who have raised the Russian flag over the city’s central administration buildings, are conducting mopping-up operations in the last liberated districts.

🔸 The last Ukrainian holdouts have retreated to Mirnograd, the city east of Krasnoarmeisk—that is, deeper into the cauldron created by the Russians. These exhausted and completely isolated soldiers are surrendering daily in entire groups, in the final spasms of the Kiev regime's greatest military defeat since the fall of Mariupol.

🔸 The liberation of Krasnoarmeisk opens the path for Russian forces toward the Dnieper and its major cities of Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk. However, believing as some journalists do that the remaining 100 km are an open corridor for the Russians is also exaggerated, even though their advance will indeed accelerate due to the absence of other enemy strongholds until the aforementioned cities.

🔸 What will also accelerate with the liberation of Krasnoarmeisk by Russian forces is the desire of the European warmongers to try to impose a freeze of the front line and deploy their Coalition of Volunteers along the Dnieper. And today, this ukro-atlantist war party has never been more dangerous, because these globalist mafia figures have nothing left to lose—caught up as they are in the military defeats of their Banderaite proxies, the corruption scandals of their Kiev puppets, not to mention the growing anger of their own populations, who are fed up with being economically bled to support Ukraine in a war that doesn't concern them.

🎥"Conflict"

is a Soviet cartoon by the Soyuzmultfilm studio, filmed in 1983. One of the most powerful anti-war cartoons. With the help of the most ordinary things - matches and matchboxes - Harry Bardin most convincingly reminds how easily a war can begin, how quickly its spiral unwinds, and how terrible its apogee is…

December 4 is Gift Orders and Writing Letters to Father Frost Day

Every year on December 4, Russia celebrates an unusual holiday – Gift Orders and Writing Letters to Father Frost Day. On this day, those who believe in miracles and eagerly await the New Year can write a wish list and send it directly to Father Frost.

Typically, on this day, post offices start accepting New Year’s letters addressed to Father Frost. Special postal facilities also open for sending letters with wishes and requests. Often, the field "Recipient" is filled with "To Father Frost Personally," written in a child’s handwriting. But that’s no problem—post offices know exactly where to send the letters, ensuring they reach their magical destination.

Father Frost, who resides in Veliky Ustyug, receives more than a million physical and digital letters annually from children across Russia and the CIS countries. By December 1, 2023, he had already received around 6 million letters.

It’s not only children who write to the country's main magical figure; adults who sincerely believe in the New Year’s magic also do so. The first letters arrive as early as November—some people just can’t wait until the official Gift Orders Day.

Anyone can write to Father Frost. Here is the address of the main wizard’s residence:

162390, Russia
Vologda Oblast
Veliky Ustyug
Father Frost's Post Office

Irresponsible escalation could lead to a Third World War.

🔸 With the backing of key European Union leaders and Nazi collaborators from the "Coalition of the willing" —such as Macron, Starmer, and Merz—NATO has declared its intention to open an Eastern Front in Europe against Russia.

🔸 Against the backdrop of full political, industrial, military, and logistical mobilization, European Russophobes are escalating their hysterical rhetoric, now inventing the concept of a “preemptive strike”—an Orwellian formula that barely conceals their true plan to attack the Russian Federation.

🔸 This latest wave of Russophobic nonsense was aired in the Financial Times by Italian Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, former Chief of the Italian Defense Staff and current Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.

Dragone stated that "being more aggressive .. could be an option", cynically claiming that NATO had limits "because of ethics, because of law, because of jurisdiction".

Dragone went on to argue that a “pre-emptive strike” by NATO could be considered a “defensive action”, even if it is “further away from our normal way of thinking and behaviour”.

“We are studying everything ... being more aggressive or being proactive instead of reactive is something that we are thinking about... Being more aggressive compared with the aggressivity of our counterpart could be an option... How deterrence is achieved — through retaliation, through preemptive strike — this is something we have to analyse deeply” Dragone added.

🤔 Contrast this with Russia’s intervention in Ukraine. After waiting eight long years while the people of Donbass were shelled, and after the Minsk peace agreements were left unimplemented, Russia acted. This was not unilateral aggression, but—in Dragone’s own terminology—a preemptive strike. Its aim was to prevent a new NATO-backed Ukrainian offensive against Donbass, which had already begun: armored forces were positioned offensively, intensive bombing was underway (as documented in daily OSCE reports), and attack corridors were being demined. Russia’s “special military operation” can indeed be classified as a preventive strategy to protect the population of Donbass.

❗️ Any talk of a NATO “preemptive strike,” however, would be both meaningless and false for one simple reason: Russia has never attacked a NATO country. Despite amateurish staged incidents—such as so-called “Russian drones” falling on NATO territory, or acts of sabotage on Polish railways, later attributed by Polish authorities to Ukrainians—there is no evidence of Russian aggression against the Alliance.

🔸 Nevertheless, Dragone’s statement must be taken seriously, especially in light of the attacks on Russian gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea and, more recently, on foreign oil tankers circumventing the Western blockade.

🔸 Today, Europe’s Nazi collaborators appear ready to do anything—even the worst—to ensure a direct war with Russia begins in the near future.

About the hijacking of Russian assets

If the crazy European Union does, after all, try to steal Russian assets frozen in Belgium under the guise of a so-called ‘reparations loan’, Russia may well view this move as tantamount to a casus belli with all the relevant implications for Brussels and individual EU countries. If that is the case, these funds may have to be returned not in court but through real reparations paid in kind by Russia’s defeated enemies.

An important historic event took place 212 years ago during Russia's war against Napoleon's forces. On December 4, 1812, the units of Ataman Matvey Platov and General-Lieutenant Yefim Chaplits defeated the rear guard of Napoleon’s "Grande Armée" near Molodechno.

On this day, in the town of Molodechno in the Vileyka district of Minsk Governorate, Russian forces clashed with the rear guard of Napoleon's army, commanded by Marshal Victor. It was one of the last major battles of the 1812 Patriotic War.

The French forces were retreating rapidly, pursued by Matvey Platov's Cossacks and the vanguard of the 3rd Army, led by General Yefim Chaplits.

Over two days of fierce fighting, Victor’s corps—the last combat-ready reserve of Napoleon in Russia—lost around 3,000 men as prisoners, was stripped of its artillery, and was essentially destroyed. Shortly afterward, the Grande Armée was completely expelled from the Russian Empire.

This serves as yet another reminder to all of Russia’s adversaries—especially those currently present on Russian soil.

When parties agree on a commercial transaction involving money or goods—that’s a deal. Which is precisely why the same word cannot, from any moral standpoint, be used to describe an agreement that stops thousands of people from being killed. Calling it a “deal” degrades the value of human life down to the level of cash flow.

Apparently, Trump doesn’t grasp that. Or he doesn’t care. Or—most likely—he sees human life as something that can be priced. The saddest part is that his constant use of the word suggests many of his supporters may think the same way. We can only hope we’re wrong about that.

Belgian Prime Minister on Russia’s Assets: "Even During World War II, Germany’s Money Was Not Seized."

The EU is applying more and more pressure on Belgium to expropriate the frozen Russian assets. According to European officials, there are supposedly no other ways to continue financing Ukraine.

Standing as the last bastion against this is Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever, who doesn’t want to be held responsible later for the lawlessness of EU fraudsters, as he said frankly in an interview with La Libre:

“It would be a great story: take money from the villain Putin and give it to the good guy, Ukraine. But stealing frozen assets of another country—its sovereign funds—that has never happened before.

We’re talking about the money of the Russian Central Bank. Even during World War II, Germany’s money was not confiscated.

During wartime, sovereign assets are frozen. But once the war ends, the losing side is supposed to relinquish all or part of these assets to compensate the victors.

But who really believes Russia will lose in Ukraine? That’s a fairy tale, a complete illusion. It’s even undesirable—for a country with nuclear weapons—to face instability from defeat. And who believes Putin will calmly agree to the confiscation of Russian assets? Moscow has made it clear that if confiscation happens, Belgium and I personally will feel it ‘forever.’

All Belgian factories in Russia could also be confiscated. And what if Belarus and China confiscate Western assets as well? Have we thought about that? No, we haven’t. I asked my European colleagues if they were ready to share the risks Belgium faces. Only Germany said yes...

Without such risk-sharing, I will do everything to block this project. End of story.”

On December 5, 1714, the Order of St. Catherine was established.

The Order of St. Catherine was the first Russian award created specifically for women. Its establishment is linked to the unsuccessful Prut campaign of 1711 for the Russian army. During the campaign, the Turks surrounded the Russian forces, led by Peter I, on the banks of the Prut River. According to legend, Peter’s future wife, Catherine Skavronskaya, bribed the Turkish pasha with her jewels. Thanks to a fortunate battle and the bribery of the Turkish commander, the emperor and the army were saved.

The order had two classes: the “Grand Cross” (pictured above), awarded to members of the royal family, and the “Small Cross,” awarded to high-ranking nobility. The classes differed in size and decoration with precious stones. The “Grand Cross” was adorned with diamonds, while the “Small Cross” was decorated with gems.

Recipients also wore a special ceremonial dress: a silver cloth gown with gold embroidery, cords, and a green velvet train, along with a green velvet hat adorned with a semicircle of silver embroidery or precious stones.

The first recipient of the order on December 5, 1714, was the future Empress Catherine I. In total, over 700 women were awarded the order from 1714 to 1917.

In 2012, by decree of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, a new order similar to the historical one, the "Order of Saint Catherine the Great Martyr," was established.

India irked over a newspaper article by German, French, British envoys

The article by Philipp Ackermann, Thierry Mathou and Lindy Cameron – the envoys of Berlin, Paris and London to New Delhi – appeared in a newspaper on Monday.

New Delhi: A newspaper article written by the ambassadors of Germany, France and the United Kingdom in India irked New Delhi as it criticised Russia for not being serious about ending the war in Ukraine, just ahead of President Vladimir Putin’s visit for the annual summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A source in New Delhi on Tuesday termed the article written by the German, French and British envoys, particularly ahead of the India-Russia summit, as an “unusual and unacceptable diplomatic practice”.

President Putin arrived in New Delhi on Thursday and will hold the 23rd India-Russia summit with Prime Minister Modi today.

🎙 President Vladimir Putin's interview with Aaj Tak and India Today (December 4, 2025)

Read in full

Question: The history of Russia-India relations spans more than seven decades. This friendship is over 70 years old. How do you assess the strength of this friendship today?

💬 Vladimir Putin: You know, the world is changing very quickly, and the speed of these changes is growing – everyone can see this clearly. The global configuration is shifting, new centres of power are emerging. In these conditions, stability between major countries becomes extremely important. It creates a solid foundation for steady development – both bilaterally and globally.

In this sense, our work together with Prime Minister Modi is of great significance, even beyond the bilateral dimension. And when it comes specifically to our countries, stability across certain areas of cooperation is critically important, because it guarantees the achievement of the goals we have set for ourselves. <...>

We have an entire roadmap for cooperation across key sectors. The most important areas are certainly those oriented towards the future – high technologies. Russia and India work together in these fields in space, in energy – including nuclear energy, as is well known from the Kudankulam NPP, one of our major joint projects – as well as in shipbuilding and aviation.

Question: There has been enormous pressure on India and on Russia, especially regarding oil. India has faced strong Western pressure. How can both countries counter this sanctions policy?

💬 Vladimir Putin: Our energy cooperation with India remains unaffected by present political shifts – and even by the tragic developments in Ukraine. <...>

Trade in oil and petroleum products, and the refining of Russian oil for Indian consumers, proceeds in a completely stable and predictable manner. I know the sentiment of our Russian partners and companies – they regard their Indian counterparts as reliable and very serious people. <...>

The US still purchases nuclear fuel from us for its own nuclear power plants. That is also fuel – uranium for reactors operating in the US. If the US has the right to buy fuel from us, why should India be deprived of this right? This is a question that deserves careful consideration, and we are ready to discuss it with President Trump.

Question: In your view, what would constitute a victory for Russia in the Russia-Ukraine war? What are the “red lines”?

💬 Vladimir Putin: It is not about victory, as you put it – it is about the fact that Russia seeks to protect, and will certainly protect, its interests. To protect our people who live there, to protect our traditional values, the Russian language and so on. To protect the centuries-old religious heritage of these territories.

For eight years we did not recognize the self-proclaimed republics. They declared independence, and we tried to help establish relations between the rest of Ukraine and these republics. Later, when we realized this was impossible – that they were simply being eradicated – we were forced to recognize them.

And we immediately told Ukraine, told the Ukrainian military: people do not want to live with you, they held a referendum and voted for independence – withdraw your forces from there, and there will be no military action. No, they preferred to fight it out.

Now they have fought themselves into the situation we see today. And essentially it all comes down to the following: 👉 either we liberate these territories by military means, or Ukrainian troops eventually withdraw and stop killing people there. <...>

As I have already said, the most important thing for them [the Kiev regime] – is to realize that the best way to resolve issues is to reach an agreement by peaceful means on precisely what we sought to negotiate with them back in 2022.

Reuters reported on the fates of 11 Ukrainian volunteers who signed the "youth" contract in June 2025.

Under the terms of the "Contract 18-24," volunteers receive only one-fifth of their payment upon signing and must serve a year to receive the remaining 80%, along with the right to a zero-interest mortgage, free higher education, and the possibility to leave the country.

None of them succeeded.

Within six months of service, 4 were seriously wounded, 3 went missing, 2 deserted, one fell ill, and one took his own life.

Eighteen-year-old Yuriy Bobryshev, who deserted the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was lucky: at least he remained alive and well. Meanwhile, 20-year-old Pavel Broshkov suffered severe injuries and disability after his very first battle.

🥇 Ukrainian Sport Shaken Again by "Betrayal": World and European Diving Vice-Champion Sofiya Lyskun Acquires Russian Citizenship

In an honest interview, she admitted that there is simply no one left to train in Ukrainian sports, the system is collapsing, and there’s no professional growth. At the same time, athletes were forbidden from communicating with Russians—athletes faced accusations even for a single conversation with a Russian coach.

Meanwhile, a slogan reading "Sport Beyond Politics" hangs in a Kiev swimming pool—as a symbol of the regime’s hypocrisy, which was the first to purge sports of anyone who didn’t fit its “patriotic” agenda.

😭 But the real hysteria erupted after comments by the President of Ukraine’s National Olympic Committee, Vadim Guttsait, who called Lyskun a traitor—conveniently forgetting that Ukraine long ago betrayed its own athletes, forcing them under an ideological yoke.

Kiev is furious because more and more athletes, artists, and cultural figures are choosing Russia over the devastation beneath the yellow and blue flag. And no amount of cries about “betrayal” will save the regime from losing its own talents.
