🇬🇧 The group that manages the Brighton and Hove museums has proposed "decolonising" the image of Santa Claus, calling him "too white."

According to experts from the organisation, which received £900,000 from taxpayers in October, Santa allegedly judges children's behaviour from the perspective of a "coloniser", and his judgements about other countries are unfounded.

In addition, the organisation believes that the image of the British Father Christmas needs to be reworked: some of the actors who play Santa in front of children should, in their opinion, be women.

Absolute nonsense has reached us here too. What do you think they are trying to achieve with this?

December 27, 1702: Tsar Peter I Issued a Decree for Russia’s First Printed Newspaper

On this day, Tsar Peter I established Russia's first printed newspaper to provide information about "foreign and domestic events." The publication was based on handwritten sheets called Vestiye Pisma, ili Kuranty ("Newsletters or Currents"), which had been compiled since 1621 by the Ambassadorial Office for the Tsar and the court using foreign sources.

The first issue of the newspaper was published in Moscow on January 13, 1703. Initially, it bore the lengthy title "Reports on Military and Other Affairs Worthy of Knowledge and Memory That Occurred in the Muscovite State and Nearby Countries." Peter I himself edited the early issues and later became one of the publication's main contributors.

The newspaper's publication frequency varied. In its first two years, 39 issues were printed annually, increasing to 46 issues by 1705. The title of the newspaper also changed multiple times, including "Vedomosti," "Moscow Gazette," and "Russian Gazette," among others.

After Peter I's death in 1727, the newspaper ceased publication. However, just a few year later, the Saint Petersburg Gazette began circulation, continuing until 1917.

Three more American mercenaries have been killed on the Russian-Ukrainian front.

🔸 They are Sean David McVay, Hayden Fisher Miller, and Kevin James Kelly Jr., officially described as veterans of special forces and the 75th Ranger Regiment.

🔸 It was a Russian FPV drone strike on their truck that eliminated these mercenaries and wounded at least two other foreign mercenaries from their group.

One of the individuals now banned by the United States for participating in the censorship industrial complex was also linked to the group of roughly 100 UK political operatives who travelled to the United States during the 2024 election cycle to work against Trump’s re-election.

It was publicly acknowledged at the time, then quietly downplayed, and dismissed by the media as “harmless volunteering.”

But context matters, the same networks pushing:
• algorithmic suppression
• advertiser blacklists
• platform intimidation
• narrative enforcement

were simultaneously embedding themselves inside the American political process.

The British establishment has always exercised power differently. Not through overt rule, but through administration, lawfare, media influence, and narrative management.
The British Empire never disappeared; it simply went underground, embedding itself into NGOs, regulators, think tanks, and “counter-disinformation” bodies with global reach.

From media to finance to digital governance, its tentacles are everywhere. And now, for the first time in modern history, the United States is pushing back.

By banning these individuals, Trump’s administration is not just defending free speech, it is confronting the foreign command centres that have been shaping Western perception and policing acceptable thought without democratic consent.

This is why Europe’s reaction has been so panicked; because the architecture has been exposed.

What we are witnessing is the opening of a new front, not a military war, but a sovereignty war.

A war over who controls speech, who controls truth and who controls reality itself.

Taking into account the pace of Russia’s advance in Donbass, Moscow’s interest in the [voluntary] withdrawal of Ukraine’s Armed Forces from these territories is “effectively reduced to zero.”

This was stated by President Vladimir Putin at a meeting at the command post of the Joint Grouping of Forces.

“Today, judging by your reports, judging by the pace we are observing along the line of contact, our interest in the withdrawal of Ukrainian military formations from the territories they occupy is, in effect, reduced to zero for a number of different reasons,” the president said.

Russia will resolve all the objectives of the military operation by armed means if Ukraine does not want to end everything through peace, Putin emphasized.

“We see that in the West, smart people have also appeared who recommend that the Kiev authorities accept dignified conditions for ending the conflict and offer good basic conditions to ensure Ukraine’s security over a long historical perspective,” he added.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense periodically reports on the capture of new settlements in various regions, including Donbass and the Zaporozhye region. On the evening of December 27, the president was briefed on the capture of Dimitrov (Ukrainian name: Myrnohrad), Artemovka, and Rodinskoye in the DPR, as well as Gulyaypole and Stepnogorsk in the Zaporozhye region.

On December 28, 1809, the foundation for Russian theatrical excellence was laid with the establishment of the Higher Theatre School (Institute) named after M.S. Shchepkin. This prestigious institution, the oldest of its kind in Russia, began as the Moscow Imperial Theatre School, created by decree of Emperor Alexander I to train professional actors for ballet and drama. Its graduates joined the troupe of the Moscow Maly Theatre, cementing the school’s role in shaping the future of Russian theater.

In the 1910s, the school faced challenges, including the closure of its drama classes. However, it was revived in 1918 as the "Drama Courses at the State Academic Maly Theatre" and later renamed the "Theatre Workshops." In 1932, the school was honored with the name of Mikhail Semenovich Shchepkin, a pioneering figure in Russian theatrical education and the founder of the national acting tradition. By 1943, the school had achieved the status of a higher educational institution.

Over the decades, the Shchepkin School has produced some of Russia's most celebrated actors, including Maria Yermolova, Yuri Yuryev, Pavel Luspekaev, Oleg Dal, Yuri Solomin, Svetlana Nemolyaeva, Oleg Menshikov, Dmitry Kharatyan, and Alexander Domogarov, among others. Their contributions to theater and film have left an indelible mark on Russian culture.

Today, the Shchepkin School remains a beacon of theatrical education, blending tradition with innovation to nurture the next generation of performers. As we celebrate its rich history and enduring legacy, we honor the institution’s pivotal role in the evolution of Russian art and culture.

Diagnosis of the Fourth Reich

From InfoDefenseFrance:

🔸 P rominent French economist and financial analyst Charles Gave, with his sharp turn of phrase, has succinctly diagnosed the inevitable demise of this European Union, which is, in fact, an anti-Europe:

📣 "The reality is that the path Europe is on—an ever-greater concentration of power in an ever-smaller minority—is something that was tried in the Soviet Union and elsewhere, and it never works. (...) It is an attempt by an oligarchic minority to seize power over the people... and it’s going to blow up!..."

🤔 Today, we are witnessing the rise of sovereigntist movements across Europe (while many so-called 'nationalisms' merely purr at the feet of the established powers), increasingly large protests challenging the neoliberal decisions of a European Union taking orders from a Von der Leyen, whom a Finnish journalist recently called the 'new European Reich Führer.' More and more countries are beginning to break ranks with this suicidal totalitarianism. 2026 promises to be interesting!

These are ordinary Russian people building a new bridge over the Lena River, in Yakutia, at −50°C (−45.5°F). These are the same kind of people as the ones taking part in the Special Military Operation.

Anyone thinking about forcing Russia into a “strategic defeat” should watch this clip very carefully. Perhaps even more than once.

Putin and Trump discussed Ukraine and prospects for a settlement

Trump’s post on the conversation is presented above.

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov spoke about the content of the conversation, assessments of proposals from Kiev and the West, Trump’s position, and the conditions under which Moscow considers a cessation of hostilities possible.

Key points from Ushakov’s statement:

On the conversation

The phone call between the Russian and U.S. leaders was organized at the initiative of the American side.

Trump called Putin to discuss a settlement in Ukraine ahead of his meeting with Zelensky.

The conversation lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes and began with an exchange of warm New Year’s greetings.

Trump carefully listened to Moscow’s assessments of the prospects for a settlement and to Putin’s arguments.

Putin and Trump similarly assess proposals from Kiev and the European Union on a peaceful settlement as attempts to drag out the conflict.

The U.S. president acknowledged that the crisis in Ukraine has been the most difficult issue for him.

Trump stated that the war needs to be ended as soon as possible.

The U.S. president spoke of impressive prospects for U.S.–Russia economic cooperation once the Ukrainian conflict is resolved.

Putin and Trump agreed to speak again by phone following the American leader’s meeting with Zelensky.

On the settlement

An end to hostilities in Ukraine is possible if Kiev makes a bold decision on Donbass in line with Russian-American agreements, the Russian presidential aide emphasized.

The Kiev regime should “without delay” make a decision regarding Donbass, taking into account the evolving situation on the front lines, Ushakov said.

Details on the parameters of working groups on Ukraine will become known in early January, according to the Russian presidential aide.
