Chief Foreign Affairs columnist of The Financial TImes writes, "Ukraine goes into the new year short of ammunition, money and diplomatic support. Underlying these critical shortages, there is another important deficiency. The country and its western backers no longer have a convincing theory of victory. Unless they can come up with one, western support for Ukraine will continue to waver."

Why is that we get so much of our gospel from financial papers? Foreign investors continue to gamble on Ukrainian victory. Those investments can't yield profits while the country is being dismantled.

"Without new money, Ukraine’s position on the battlefield could deteriorate fast. In Moscow, Putin has already begun to crow that Ukraine will collapse without outside support." I don't think there's any question here.

🔹In #Kherson Direction, shooting battles continue in #Krynki. Due to the activity of the AFU artillery, the situation remains difficult. However, our forces are more actively engaged in the liquidation of the foothold. Ukrainian resources report that ours have pulled up armoured vehicles.

🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, our military continue to retake positions. The AFU are trying not to give in, using all available weapons. At night, our military is disturbed by large Baba Yaga drones. From them, the enemy drops mines on our positions. It is reported from the field that recently several militants of the AFU surrendered after ours threw them a walkie-talkie from a drone.

🔹In #SouthDonetsk Direction, our army continues to attack south of #Novomikhaylovka and near #Pobeda. Having almost completed the clearing of #Maryinka's outskirts, our fighters are actively moving towards #Kurakhovo.

🔹In #Donetsk Direction, on the southern #Avdeyevka flank, our units have expanded their zone of control north of #Opytnoye after severe fighting. Ours have also made advances towards #Severnoye and #Tonenkoye. There is also progress at #Vodyanoye. To the west of the village, our army is advancing north of the Novoavdeyevskoye Pond, creating additional tension for the AFU garrison in #Pervomayskoye. There is also a movement of ours westwards from the quarry near the Vinogradniki Gardening Community. On the northern flank, fighting on the ground has somewhat subsided due to difficult weather conditions for armoured vehicles. Aviation compensates, a powerful blow was inflicted on the AFU positions near #Krasnogorovka.

🔹In #Bakhmut Direction, southwest of the city, our army is attacking AFU positions in the direction of #Krasnoye (#Ivanovskoye). To the south, fighting continues in #Kleshcheyevka. According to reports from the field, the northern part of the village is under full control of our forces. In the southwest, the enemy still holds several positions. Northwest of the city, our forces are storming the AFU positions near #Bogdanovka. But near #Soledar, the AFU have suddenly become active and are trying to attack. Ours confidently repulse them, there are no changes in the frontline.

🔹In #Svatovo Direction, our army has been conducting a heavy assault on #Sinkovka for several days in a row. At this line, the AFU are fighting stubbornly.
