🔸️ Sufferings promote the character of Christ in us! 🔸️
"When He tests me, I will come out as pure as gold." (Job 23:10).
Some have been crying for weeks together thinking that they might drown their anxieties into the sea of tears! Still others, crushed by the burden of grief, "weeping in their hearts."
Sufferings and tribulations could turn out for a very good purpose. Having that purpose in mind, the Almighty God, who loves us deeply, allows sufferings to enter our lives. Troubles can change our whole character! Sandalwood smells good, when the ax cuts the Sandalwood tree! In the same way, through sufferings, we can become a blessing to others and to those who harmed us, through the goodness we have learned from God! If we want to become God-like, we must prepare to face numerous tribulations.... at the same time, we shouldn't allow those tribulations to oppress us.
Some devotees have gone into the deadly depths of misery. Yet their devotional experiences have been immensely blessed. We need to know the fact that if we learn to handle sufferings in the right way, we could become well tuned. We learn wonderful lessons in this school of misery. The reward we get at the end of that education is..."our changing nature of Christ like"!!
We do not have the power to control over any events that causes suffering. But, the Lord can control them and thereby cause good things to happen "within us"!! Yes, all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.”(Romans 8:28).
Prayer:
Dear Father! Give us the grace not to plunge ourselves in tears for the sufferings we face in this World; may that suffering fire cleanse us and transform us Christ like! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.

🔸️ வாழ்க்கைத்துணை நீங்கினாலும், நீங்காத துணையாய் கர்த்தர் உள்ளார்! 🔸️
"உன் சிருஷ்டிகரே உன் நாயகர் (கணவர்); சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்பது அவருடைய நாமம்; இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தர் உன் மீட்பர், அவர் சர்வபூமியின் தேவன் என்னப்படுவார் (ஏசாயா 54:5) என்று உன் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்" என்ற வசனம் எத்தனை ஆறுதலாய் இருக்கிறது.
தன் இளங்கணவரை ஆண்டவருடைய அழைப்பிற்குச் செல்லும்படி இழந்த ஒரு பக்தியுள்ள சகோதரி, தன் கணவரை இழந்த அதே மாதத்தில் கீழ்க்கண்ட செய்தியை வாசித்தார்கள்! அந்தச் செய்தியின் மூலமாய் தேவனுடைய பெரிதான ஆறுதலை அச்சகோதரி கண்டடைந்தார்கள்!
"அதோ அங்கே சில பெண்கள் கூட்டத்தை காண்கிறேன்! அவர்கள் ஒரு வருடத்திற்கு முன்பாகவோ அல்லது சில மாதங்களுக்கு முன்பாகவோ அல்லது சில வாரங்களுக்கு முன்பாகவோ அல்லது சில நாட்களுக்கு முன்பாகவோ 'வல்லமையும் ஞானமும் நிறைந்த' ஓர் இளைஞனைத் தங்கள் துணையாய் பெற்றார்கள்! அந்த சம்யுக்த இளைஞன் தங்களின் வாழ்க்கை பாரங்களையெல்லாம் தன்மீது ஏற்றுக்கொண்டபடியால்....இவள், பொறுப்பின் அழுத்தத்திலிருந்து முற்றிலும் விடுதலை பெற்றுவிட்டாள்.
அந்த இளம் கணவனின் நட்பில் வாழ்ந்த நாட்கள்தான் எத்தனைப் பிரகாசமும் மகிழ்ச்சியுமாய் அவளுக்கு இருந்தது! ஆனால், அந்தோ! காரிருளான அந்த நாள் வந்தபோது தன் நேசத்துக்குரியவரை அவ்விருள் பறித்துச் சென்றுவிட்டதே! ஆ, இப்போது தனிமை! வெறுமை! வறட்சி! சொல்லொண்ணா பாரமும் கவலையும் இன்று அவளை கவ்விக்கொண்டது.
பாதிப்புக்குள்ளான ஸ்திரீயே! நான் சொல்வதை சற்று கவனி: உன் வலப்பக்கத்தில் ஒருவர் நடந்து வருகிறார்! அவர், இந்த உலகில் வாழ்ந்த எந்த அன்புள்ள கணவனைக்காட்டிலும், எந்த ஞானமுள்ள கணவனைக்காட்டிலும், எந்த பெலசாலியான கணவனைக்காட்டிலும்.... அதிக அன்புள்ளவர்! அதிக ஞானமுள்ளவர்! அதிக பெலனானவர்! உன்னை நடத்திச் சென்று உதவுவதற்கு சர்வ சம்பூரணர்!! அவர் உன் வாழ்க்கையில் உள்ள சகல பாரங்களையும், பொறுப்புக்களையும் தாங்கி ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள ஆயத்தமாய் இருக்கிறார்! நீ நினைப்பதைக் காட்டிலும் மேலானவைகளைச் செய்ய ஆயத்தமாய் இருக்கிறார். வெறுமையும் துன்பமும் நிறைந்த உன் இருதயத்தின் ஒவ்வொரு மூலை முடுக்குகளிலும் அவர் வந்து அமர்ந்திட காத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார். உன்னிடம் வந்து தங்கிட நீ அவருக்கு இடம் கொடுத்துவிட்டால், உன் எல்லா தனிமையும், நெஞ்சின் வேதனையும் உன்னை விட்டு நிரந்தரமாய் மாயமாய் மறைந்துவிடும்!"

"His Voice Today"

🔸️ Even if your life-partner leaves you, the Lord is with you! 🔸️
"Your Creator is your Leader (husband); the Lord of hosts is His name; the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer. He will be called the God of all the Earth" (Isaiah 54: 5). How comforting is the verse "your Lord says"!!
A devout sister who lost her young husband to the call of the Lord, had read the following message the same month she lost her husband! Through the message, that sister found great comfort of God!
"I see a women's crowd there! They got a young man with "strength and wisdom" as their partner, a year ago or a few months ago or a few weeks ago or a few days ago! As that talented young man took all burdens of their family life... she was completely free from stress.
How bright and happy she was during the days she lived in the fellowship of that young husband! But, alas! When that dark day came, it had snatched away her beloved! Ah, loneliness now! Empty! Drought! Unspeakable burden and anxiety gripped her today.
Oh, Woman in grief! Listen to what I say: Someone is walking to your right side! He is more lovable than any loving husband who has ever lived in this world, than any wise husband or any more strengthen husband! He is more wise! He is very perfect to lead you and help you!! He is ready to bear all the burdens and responsibilities in your life! He is ready to do more than you think. He is waiting to occupy every nook and corner of your heart, which is full of emptiness and misery. If you give Him a place to come and stay with you, all your loneliness and burden of your heart will vanish from you forever!"
Prayer:
Our loving Father! Thank you for helping us to find the support of your strong arm, despite the loss of our life partner! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.

இன்று "அவருடைய" சத்தம்
டிசம்பர் 20
🔸️ பக்தியுள்ள விதவைகளை ஆதரிக்கும் தேவன்! 🔸️
வட இந்தியாவில் சுவிசேஷத்தைப் பிரசங்கித்ததற்காக கோடாரியால் வெட்டிக் கொலை செய்யப்பட்ட கணவருடைய இளம் ஏழை விதவையை நான் சந்தித்தேன். அவளுடைய சாட்சி என் நெஞ்சை நெகிழச் செய்தது! தன் சிறு குழந்தைகளோடு நின்று கொண்டிருந்த அந்த விதவை "என் கணவரின் இரத்தம் சிந்தப்பட்ட அதே இடத்தில் ஒரு சபை எழும்ப வேண்டும்! அதுவே என் ஜெபம்!!" எனக் கெம்பீரித்தார். அந்த சகோதரியின் கண்ணீர் மெய்யாகவே "வாகை சூடும் ஜெயத்தின் கண்ணீராகவே" இருந்தது.
நம் ஆண்டவர் மெய்யாகவே விதவைகளுக்கும் தகப்பனற்றவர்களுக்கும் தேவனானவர். ஓர் உவமையின் மூலமாய் "ஜெபத்தை" இயேசு கற்றுக் கொடுத்தபோது, தன் எதிராளியிடமிருந்து பாதுகாப்பிற்காக ஓர் அநீதியான நியாயாதிபதியினிடத்தில் சென்ற "ஒரு விதவைக்கே" நம்மை ஒப்பிட்டுக் கூறினார். இந்த விதவை விடாப்பிடியாய் கெஞ்சி, தன் பாதுகாப்பை பெற்றுவிட்டாள்!
அதேபோல், மற்றவர்கள் "சிறிய தொகை" என எண்ணிய இரண்டு காசுகளை தேவனுக்குப் படைத்த ஒரு விதவையைத்தான் இயேசு அநேகருக்கு முன் பகிரங்கமாய் மெச்சிக் கொண்டார்! அவள் தந்த காணிக்கை, தன் ஏழ்மையில் தன் முழு ஜீவனத்துக்குரியதையும் கொடுத்த அதிக விலைக்கிரயம் கொண்ட காணிக்கை ஆகும். இதிலிருந்து நாம் கற்றுக்கொள்ளும் பாடம் யாதெனில், நாம் அவருக்காகச் செய்திடும் "ஒவ்வொரு சிறிய தியாகங்களையும்" இயேசு பார்க்கிறார் என்பதேயாகும்!
அதுவும் குறிப்பாக நம் துன்பங்கள், கண்ணீர்களின் மத்தியில் படைத்திடும் தியாகக் காணிக்கைகளை இயேசு பரவசத்துடன் காண்கிறார்!!
பக்தியுள்ள விதவைகளைக் குறித்து வேதாகமம் குறிப்பிடுகையில், அவர்கள் "பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய கால்களைக் கழுவுபவர்கள்" எனக் குறிப்பிடுகிறது (1 தீமோத்தேயு 5:10). அதாவது, அவள் தன்னுடைய ஊழியத்தினால் தேவ ஜனங்களின் இருதயத்தை மகிழச் செய்துவிடுவாள்! என்பதேயாகும்.
இவ்வாறு தேவனுக்கும் தேவனுடைய ஜனத்திற்கும் இந்த விதவை எவ்வாறு மகிழ்ச்சியை கொண்டு வந்தாள்? அவள் முதலாவது தன்னுடைய பாரங்களையும், கவலைகளையும், கண்ணீர்களையும் ஆண்டவருடைய பாதத்தில் இறக்கி வைத்துவிட்டாள் என்பதே அந்த இரகசியமாகும்!!

"His Voice Today"

🔸️ God supports pious widows! 🔸️
I met a young poor widow whose husband was hacked to death for preaching the gospel in Northern India. Her testimony moved my heart! The widow with her small children, shouted, "I want to raise a congregation in the same place where my husband's blood was shed! That is my prayer!!" She proclaimed. The sister's tears were truly "tears of conquest."
Our Lord is the God to widows and fatherless. When Lord Jesus taught about "prayer" through a parable, He compared us to "a widow" who went to an unjust judge for protection from her adversary. This widow stubbornly begged and received her protection!
In the same way, Jesus publicly praised a widow who had offered for God two coins while others considered it as "small amount"! The contribution that poor widow gave was the most expensive gift, because she had put in all the money that she had to pay for the things she needed! The lesson we learn from this parable is that Jesus sees "every little sacrifice" we offer for Him!
That too, especially in the midst of our sufferings and tears, Jesus sees the sacrificial offerings with ecstasy!!
When speaks of pious widows, the Bible refers them as "those who wash the feet of the holy people"
(1Timothy 5:10).
That is, she will please the hearts of God's people with her ministry!
How did this widow bring joy to God and God's people? The secret is that she put her burdens, worries and tears at the Lord's feet firstly!!
Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! Those who have tasted Your love, will love others with divine love! May that divine love fills us and the widowed sisters! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

🔸️ God supports pious widows! 🔸️
I met a young poor widow whose husband was hacked to death for preaching the gospel in Northern India. Her testimony moved my heart! The widow with her small children, shouted, "I want to raise a congregation in the same place where my husband's blood was shed! That is my prayer!!" She proclaimed. The sister's tears were truly "tears of conquest."

🔸️ நமக்களித்த பிள்ளைகள் தேவன் திரும்ப பெற்றிடும் கடன்! 🔸️
தேவன் நமக்களித்த பிள்ளைகளிடம் நமக்கு இருக்கும் பொறுப்பை கீழ்காணும் கவிதை நேர்த்தியாக விளக்குகிறது:
"சொற்ப காலம் கடன் உன் பிள்ளை!" என்றார் தேவன்;
"உயிருள்ள மட்டும் நேசி,
மரித்ததும் திரும்ப எனக்குத் தந்துவிடு"
ஓராண்டு அல்லது இரண்டு அல்லது ஐந்து அல்லது நான்கு அல்லது மூன்று!
அவனை என்னிடம் அழைத்திடும் காலமும் விசாரிப்பாயோ?

🔸️ The children God gave to us, is the debt that God needs to get back! 🔸️
The following poem neatly illustrates our responsibility for the children God gave to us:
"Short-term debt your child!" said God;
"Love the child till his life,
Give him back to me when he died."
One or two or five or four or three years!
Will you inquire about the time when I call him?
Your joy is the ecstasy he gives....
'Trivial' can last, at that grief.....
His memories are your comfort!
I can't able to vow to give him permanently.
Know that everything on Earth should come back!
I know the lessons to be learned on Earth....
I also wanted the baby that I gave to learn it.....for that,
I searched the entire world to get a teacher.
I knew only you among the men of the Earth!
Will you give all your love to him?
Will you think, all your efforts are in vain?
Wouldn’t you hate me when I stretch out my hand to get me back the ‘child whose time is up’?
Parents responded politely:
"Dear God, let Your will be done"
May this child give us divine joy.
May we endure when tragedy strikes!
Protect favourably.....the love till end!
Let's get the joy he gives, with gratitude!!
If you come before the finish of the plans for him......
Let us bear courage in the grief of bitterness...
We will seek to know only your purpose...."

நீங்கள் எவ்வளவுதான் கோழையும் பெலவீனருமாய் இருந்தாலும், பரலோகத்தின் கதவை நீங்கள் தட்டும்போது, அது உங்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாய் திறக்கப்பட்டுவிடும்! காரிருள் அமைதி நேரங்களில் உங்கள் இருதயத்திலிருந்து தேவனை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுங்கள்! சிறிது நேரத்தில் பரலோகம் திறந்து, உங்கள் விண்ணப்பத்திற்கு தேவன் பேசும் பதிலை நீங்கள் கேட்பீர்கள்!!

"His Voice Today"

🔸️ The prayer of the poor in sufferings brings victory! 🔸️
No matter how cowardly and weak you are, when you knock at the door of heaven, it will surely open for you! Call on God from your hearts in the deepest sufferings! Heaven will open in a little while and you will hear God's response to your application!!
Write down the promises God has given for you in the midst of adversity. You will find each of them is a rainbow and a precious greenstone like chrysoprase for you! Secure them! Someday, in order to help others, you may need to give it! Your Father, hearing the intimacy of sufferings, will surely reward you outwardly. Further He has promised to give His response "quickly". So persevere in prayer until you receive the answer. It is not God’s will, for you to drown in your grief. The kingdom of God belongs to all who seeks fiercely! Thus Jesus challenges and calls us to inherit His kingdom!!
Look at the Scripture that says, "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him and rescues them" (Ps. 34:7) and "who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask" (Ephesians 3:20).
So, ask Him with much faith. Come boldly to the Eucharist and be steadfast in prayer. Let us do the same with the cry of prayer: "Rise during the night and cry out. Pour out your hearts like water to the Lord. Lift up your hands to him in prayer, pleading for your children, for in every street they are faint with hunger"
(Lamentations 2:19).

சற்றேறக்குறைய 20 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு, நம் தேசத்தின் சுதந்திர நாளில் ஒரு கொடிய பூமி அதிர்ச்சி குஜராத் மாநிலத்தின் சில முக்கிய நகரங்களை அழித்து விட்டது. அப்பகுதிகளில் எத்தனை கோரமான அழுகுரல்கள் கேட்டிருக்கக்கூடும்! ஒரு சில வினாடிகளில் எண்ணற்றோர் அனாதைகளாகினர்! எண்ணற்றோர் வீடுகளை இழந்தனர்!! பூமி அதிர்ச்சி தேவனுடைய தண்டனை என நாம் சொல்லிவிட முடியாது. ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசுவின் நாட்களில் சீலோவாம் கோபுரம் விழுந்தபோது, அந்த விபத்தில் மரித்தவர்கள் மற்றவர்களைக் காட்டிலும் அதிகப் பாவம் செய்தவர்கள் அல்ல என்பதை இயேசு அவ்வேளையில் தெளிவுபடுத்தினார். மேலும், கடைசி நாட்களில் யுத்தங்களும், பஞ்சங்களும், பூமி அதிர்ச்சிகளும் சம்பவிக்க வேண்டியதே எனவும் இயேசு எச்சரிக்கையாய் கூறினார். ஆகவே "கர்த்தருடைய வருகை சமீபித்துவிட்டது" என்பதையே பூமி அதிர்ச்சிகள் நமக்கு நினைவூட்டுகின்றன.
மேலும், கொடிய விக்கிரக ஆராதனைக்குள் மூழ்கிப் போயிருக்கும் நம் இந்திய தேசத்திற்குத் தேவன் இரக்கம் பாராட்டும்படியாய், நாம் யாவருமே நம் தேசத்திற்காய் ஜெபித்திட வேண்டிய அவசியத்தையும் இதுபோன்ற சம்பவங்கள் காட்டுகின்றன!
மரணம் சம்பவித்த சில வீடுகளில் அங்குள்ளவர்கள் தேவனைத் திட்டுவதை நான் கேட்டிருக்கிறேன். அதுபோன்ற இடத்தில், அந்த இடத்தை விட்டே போய்விடலாமா என்றுகூட நான் எண்ணியிருக்கிறேன். இச்சமயங்களில், எதிர்காலத்திற்கென நமக்கு ஓர் உயிருள்ள நம்பிக்கை இருக்கிறது என்பதையே அங்கு கூடியிருக்கும் புறஜாதிகள் அறிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும்! ஆண்டவருக்குள் மரித்தவர்கள் அவருடைய சமூகத்திற்குள் உடனடியாகப் பிரவேசித்துவிடுவார்கள்!! ஆகவே, மரித்தோரிலிருந்து இயேசு உயிர்த்தெழுந்தபடியால், எதிர்காலத்திற்கு ஒரு மகிமையான நம்பிக்கை நம் யாவருக்குமே இருக்கிறது!!
துக்கமான மனச்சோர்வு என்ற உளையான சேற்றுக்குள் நீங்கள் சிக்கிக் கொள்ளாதபடி கவனமாய் இருங்கள்! அப்படியாகிவிட்டால், உங்கள் உணர்வுகளுக்கும், உங்கள் மனநிலைக்கும், உங்கள் ஆவிக்குரிய நிலைக்கும் நீங்களே தீங்கு செய்துவிட முடியும். இந்நிலையில் உங்கள் மனதில் தோன்றும் யூகங்களையெல்லாம் கூறி மற்றவர்களையும் நீங்கள் இடறச் செய்துவிட முடியும். ஒரு நாளில், மரித்த உங்கள் அன்பு கூர்ந்தவரை பரலோகத்தில் காணும்போது...... இப்பூமியில் ஆண்டவரோடு நெருங்கி நடக்கும் வாய்ப்பை இழந்து வீணாக்கிய அந்த மனச்சோர்வின் காலங்களுக்காய் நீங்கள் 'அன்று' வெகுவாய் துக்கமடைவீர்கள்!
