The petroglyph of the winged man in Pasargad is one of the beautiful petroglyphs left from the Achaemenid period and the 6th century BC, which is very artistically and meaningfully sculpted.

The petroglyph of the winged man is the healthiest and most beautiful image created in the buildings of Pasargad, which contains the deep concepts of lofty thought. This relief can be considered as the only remaining complete relief from the Pasargad motifs, which was carved on the remains of the north-east doorway. The carving of this carving is very superficial, that's why the passage of time and unfavorable weather conditions have destroyed some details of the carving and made it impossible to recognize it. The petroglyph of the winged man in Pasargad is carved on the northeast gate of Pasargad. On top of this petroglyph, there is a trilingual inscription that was described by European tourists. This petroglyph contained the sentence "I am Cyrus, the Achaemenid king" and this caused some people to consider this petroglyph as a statue of Achaemenid Cyrus.
