LocalThings connects Samsung appliances to Home Assistant over a home network without a cloud account. It supports washers, dryers, refrigerators, air conditioners, ovens and other appliances that work with SmartThings. Depending on the appliance, it provides controls and information such as operating modes, temperatures, time remaining and energy use. After setup, it works without internet access and does not send data to Samsung, though appliances may still have their own connection to Samsung.
