The learning curve was steep for Vladimir Rys when he was sent to cover his first race, the Australian Grand Prix, back in 2005. “I had no clue! I didn’t know where to go, what was allowed”, he says. Since then, Rys has more than cemented his place on the grid as one of the sports top photographers, winning numerous awards for his work trackside. “It’s always a challenge coming back to the same track, and trying to find new pictures. And that’s why I love F1”
