Спецпідрозділ "Скорпіон" займався охороною АЕС, охороною перевезення ядерного матеріалу та протидією ядерного тероризму. Підрозділи "Скоріпону" знаходилися на кожному об'єкті ядерної енергетики України, сьогодні їх функції виконують ОВДО НГУ.

The Scorpion special unit was engaged in the protection of nuclear power plants, protection of nuclear material transportation, and countering nuclear terrorism. Scorpion units were located at every nuclear power facility in Ukraine, and today their functions are performed by the NGU's internal security units.
