The organization was designated a terrorist organization in the United States until October 2020, and the UN is keeping the organization's terrorist charter.

Автомат АК-103-2 російського виробництва одного із таджикських добровольців опозиційного сунітського угрупування «Хай'ат Тахрір аш-Шам» під час кампанії у Сирії.
На автомат встановлений тепловізор Pulsar Apex XD75. Фото 2024 року.
АК-103-2 це варіант автомату «сотої серії», який обладнаний модифікованим ударно-спусковим механізмом, що дає змогу вести вогонь із відсічкою чергою по 3 постріли.
Відповідно, перемикач має 4 положення: П - запобіжник, А - автоматична стрільба, 3 - стрільба з відсіканням черги в 3 постріли, 1 - стрільба одиночними пострілами.
Такі «соті» можна відрізнити від інших автоматів серії за пластиною, що виступає зі ствольної коробки в районі спускової скоби.
Пластина має роль обмежувача ходу вниз прапорця перекладача режимів вогню.

A Russian-made AK-103-2 assault rifle of a Tajik volunteer of the opposition Sunni group Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham during the campaign in Syria.

The AK-103-2 is a variant of the “hundredth series” assault rifle equipped with a modified trigger mechanism that allows for firing with a 3-shot burst.
Accordingly, the switch has 4 positions: P - safety, A - automatic firing, 3 - firing with a 3-shot burst, 1 - firing with single shots.
These 100 assault rifles can be distinguished from other assault rifles of the series by a plate protruding from the receiver in the area of the trigger guard.
The plate serves as a downward stroke limiter for the fire mode selector flag.
