Our team is actively investigating the situation, and once resolved, we will proceed with burning the excess minted tokens.

This incident has not affected our infrastructure or the robustness of what we have built.

MESSAGE FROM CEO OF ENTANGLE

Entangle experienced a security breach today, we're still fully reviewing the situation, but the exploiter managed to extract 250k, which is in the process of being frozen and halted.

For context:
Bybit Hack: $1.5 billion stolen and affects felt still
Wormhole: $325M (took weeks to address
Ronin: $600m

Many larger scams and attacks in Web3 that were slower to address or much larger in scale.

Prior to this incident, Entangle reached a market capitalization of $2.7 billion and had no history of security breaches or anything malicious.

Additionally, we raised $65 million from the public on Solana, which remained untouched and we refunded.

All wallets associated with Entangle are transparent, with no large token movements or sales since TGE. The chain does not lie.

The exploit was promptly isolated and contained. And it relates to the NGL token only as that was built as a separate custom bridge contract. Remaining infrastructure, partner tokens and all else remains perfectly functional.

The situation is under control.

This is a good reminder that nobody is safe in this space, security is an issue we're actively solving in Web3 and it's becoming more apparent then ever.
