📜 JULY 4 — INDEPENDENCE DAY IN THE USA
On July 4, 1776, a monumental moment in world history occurred — the Declaration of Independence was officially adopted by the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia. With this bold move, thirteen American colonies declared their decision to break away from British rule and form a new, sovereign nation — the United States of America.
The Declaration, written primarily by Thomas Jefferson, was not just a statement of political separation. It was a powerful philosophical document that proclaimed all men are created equal and endowed with unalienable rights such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These ideas later became the moral foundation of American democracy.
