The Multi-Ministry Taskforce is re-evaluating the timing & scope of the next stage of reopening, after the emergence of a new cluster at Bukit Merah.

Restrictions were meant to be eased next Monday, with a chance of F&B opening up for dine in.

COVID-19 NEWS UPDATE:

1) Dining-in will be allowed for groups of 2.
Groups of more than 2 in the same household may dine-in together.

2) Wedding receptions will not be allowed to be held.
They may resume after mid-July.

3) Gyms and fitness studios may resume indoor mask-off activities for groups of 2.

4) Visits to elderly residential care home visits may resume.
Prior to entry, visitors must test negative.

5) Working from home still remains the default work mode.

All new restrictions apply from 21 June.

7 HDB Blocks in Redhill will go through Mandatory COVID-19 tests, after COVID-19 transmission was detected in the area.

The blocks are:
- 81, 82 and 83 Redhill Lane
- 87, 88, 89 and 90 Redhill Close

Fragments of the virus were also detected in wastewater samples.

A 44 year old man has died due to COVID-19. The death toll in Singapore now stands at 35.

The man was not vaccinated against the virus and had a history of diabetes and mellitus.

MOH has updated its criteria for close contact with COVID-19 cases.

A close contact is now defined as:

One with a cumulative exposure of 15 minutes or more within 2m of a suspected Covid-19 case.

India has declared a new mutation of Delta variant - named Delta Plus, at least 22 cases detected in India.

Scientists informed the Indian government that they had found evidence of the mutation.

The mutation - B161721, is more effective in transmitting COVID-19.

Every household can collect a free oximeter from July 5, 2021 to monitor your blood oxygen levels regularly.

These devices can be collected from 300 supermarkets and pharmacy outlets from July 5 to August 5.

COVID-19 could cause blood oxygen to drop, and damage to vital organs, even if you feel well.

The oximeter can measures blood oxygen levels and pulse rates, and can help residents regularly monitor them.

A wrap up of what the task-force has announced earlier today.

1) Singapore will ramp up its number of jabs to around 80,000 doses daily, up from around 47,000 today.

Additionally, Singapore may get the novavax vaccine by end-2021, if "all goes well" according to Minister Ong Ye Kung.

2) Vaccinations for those aged 12 to 39 years will be invited for vaccinations from 2 Jul, via SMS.

Dose intervals will be reviewed.

3) Fully vaccinated Singaporean can have the option to trade in SHNs for frequent testing instead.

The upgrade will be free for existing users of Windows 10 with a compatible PC/Laptop. To check, open the PC Health Check App for more.

If you used the PC Health Check app and found that your pc isn't eligible but it has good hardware, you might need to enable secure boot in your PC's BIOS.

New Features:
- A new UI, including a new start menu and taskbar. The start menu has been placed differently by default, but can be changed.
- Better multi-tasking support.
- Direct integration with Microsoft Teams.
- App support for android apps.
- Updates which are 40% smaller and can install in the background
- A brand new Microsoft Store, with support for more apps.

An 84-year-old woman has died from complications due to COVID-19, bringing the COVID-19 death toll here to 36.

She had a history of cancer, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia and wasn't vaccinated against COVID-19.

The woman - Case 64255 - was detected on Jun 15 through community testing for visitors to Blocks 115 and 116 Bukit Merah View.

New Cases today include 2 staff at CGH, a 21-year-old nurse and two porters.

The nurse has been classified as an unlinked case, while the porters, aged 48 and 66, were linked to the cluster at the hospital. There are now five cases in the cluster.
