Head to the marketplace, grab chests, and open them with keys. Inside you'll find top-tier drops: ready-made boards, valuable crafting fragments, or purple $TON (note: $GRAM in the future).

2️⃣ Build unique boards from fragments

You can pull a finished board straight from a chest, or you can collect fragments and craft exactly the one you want.

The game has 4 rarity levels: 🟢 Green, 🔵 Blue, 🟣 Purple, and the legendary 🟠 Orange. The cooler the color, the higher your asset's value on the future market, and the harder it pulls from prize pools.

3️⃣ Level up your boards' stats

Every custom board completely changes your status in the game:

• Score stat

The higher it is, the more often PvP matches will be played on your board. Set your own rules for opponents, show off your status, and put on the psychological pressure on your home turf!

• Luck stat

This is your ticket to 55% of the entire prize pool in luck tournaments. If you only play chess, that's fine, but if you have a luck board, you get to hit "Roll Luck" at the end of the tournament and grab a big bonus prize on top of what you already won, walking away with a pile of $TON. Owners of basic boards can't do that.

Last time we talked about the inventory launch. Today we’ll cover the main practical question: how do you actually get your own custom board and start scaling your rewards?

🍴 Two ways to get a board: direct drop or guaranteed crafting

Every board comes from a simple combo: a chest + a key. You can buy both in the store in two ways: with Telegram Stars or directly with $TON by connecting your external wallet.

📌 Important: chest and key prices are dynamic. They can change depending on the current $TON rate.

From here, it depends on your strategy:

🎲 Direct drop (luck-based): you open a chest with a key and instantly receive a full board of a random rarity into your inventory. Fast and no crafting needed.

⚙️ Guaranteed crafting (strategic approach): if you don’t get a full board right away, you receive fragments instead (materials for a future board). Collect fragments of the right color and craft the board rarity you want.

⚡️ Reminder: farming fragments and chests happens alongside normal gameplay and does NOT replace your regular $TON rewards from Puzzle Pass or tournaments. You’re just building extra value while playing.

🎨 How to get rare boards

All inventory items come in 4 color tiers of rarity. Higher rarity means stronger base stats and a larger share of the tournament prize pool:

🟢 Green
A solid starter option. Already stronger than the default board and gives you your first noticeable reward boost

🔵 Blue
Provides medium reward bonuses

🟣 Purple
A rare and highly valuable asset. Has high Luck and gives a strong increase in tournament payouts

🟠 Orange
The maximum tier. Top stats, ultra-high Luck, and the largest share of the 55% tournament prize pool

📈 Important detail: each rarity also has up to 4 levels. The higher the rarity and level of your board, the stronger its stats and the higher your net earnings in $TON.

Every custom board has two key stats: Score and Luck. The image attached to this post shows exactly where to find them, and below you'll learn what they actually do.

🏆 Score: Play on Your Board

Score determines whose board will be used for the next match.

• Before every PvP game, the system compares your Score with your opponent's
• The match takes place on the board with the higher Score

This isn't just about showing off your style and collection. It also creates a psychological edge. Your opponent immediately sees they're playing on someone else's board, owned by a serious collector.

Luck completely changes the reward system in tournaments. The default board has 0 Luck, while custom boards have Luck values that increase based on rarity and level.

What Luck gives custom board owners:

• Access to the Luck Roll
At the end of each tournament, you get one Luck Roll and enter a separate leaderboard. Players on this leaderboard share 55% of the entire prize pool.

• Reward Multiplier
The higher your Luck stat, the stronger your roll multiplier and the larger your bonus reward in $TON.

Maximum Luck by Rarity

🟢 Green: up to +10% Luck Roll bonus
🔵 Blue: up to +25%
🟣 Purple: up to +50%
🟠 Orange: up to +75%

💡 Important:

• Luck Roll is available in free tournaments
• Gold, Silver, and Bronze leagues remain unchanged. The Luck League is simply added on top, with 55% of the total prize pool distributed among its participants
• Entry-fee tournaments continue to work exactly as before, with no changes to the reward system

A closer look at PvP prestige and the prize-based luck league

With the latest major update, chess boards in EdChess are no longer just cosmetic customization. They now represent your status in every PvP match and bring real extra rewards in special tournaments.

Here’s how these mechanics work.

🎲 Your board in luck tournaments…

…determines the size of your final reward through the luck parameter.

Tournaments now run with two parallel leaderboards.

You can place in the regular prize standings and at the same time enter a special Boards leaderboard, a separate league for players equipped with collectible boards.

Even if the tournament doesn’t go your way and you miss out on the main prizes, your board and its luck stat can still carry you through the Boards leaderboard. You’re guaranteed extra meaningful rewards just for playing with a collectible skin.

1. Equip your board
Choose a collectible board from your inventory before the tournament starts.
Stay active

2. Stay active
Play at least 8 bullet games or 4 blitz games
Your final ranking in the main standings doesn’t matter, only completing the minimum requirement to qualify

3. Enter the luck league
After meeting the requirement, you automatically move into a closed league where only board owners compete. Finish in any position there

4. Claim your reward
After the tournament, use your Luck Roll to receive a strong extra prize.

💰 Prize pool distribution

55% of the tournament prize pool goes directly into the Luck Roll leaderboard. The rest is distributed across the regular leagues.

The higher your Luck stat, the stronger your roll multiplier and the bigger your additional $TON reward.
