🥴Stephen Colbert has reportedly already secured his next gig following the recent cancellation of “The Late Show.”

The comedian, 61, is staying put in the world of late-night after signing on as a guest star in the CBS series “Elsbeth,” Vulture reports.

Colbert will portray a late-night talk show host in the comedy series, which made its debut last summer.

He will play the host of the fictional show “Way Late with Scotty Bristol” in the network’s spin-off of the hit series “The Good Wife.”

Production had commenced last week in NYC, and according to the outlet, the episode was “almost surely planned” before news that his show was axed by CBS came to light.

The Israeli government voted unanimously on Monday to fire the country’s Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara.

“The government has just unanimously approved the proposal of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Yariv Levin to immediately terminate the tenure of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara,” according to Levin’s spokesperson.

Baharav-Miara has often been criticised by the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who accused her of abusing her authority to undermine the government’s policies and destabilize Israel’s rule of law.

Right-wing Israeli politicians have long called for her dismissal.

Israel’s Supreme Court issued an injunction on Monday to stop Baharav-Miara’s firing. Levin’s move in March to initiate proceedings to dismiss her sparked fierce criticism and a legal challenge.

HOCHUL - 'THIS IS WAR'🥴: Texas lawmakers gathered in New York to blast Republicans’ redistricting proposal after more than 50 Texas House Democrats fled the state ahead of a scheduled legislative session on Monday.

As the GOP seeks to redraw congressional maps and add as many as five congressional seats in their favor, state Democrats broke quorum, or the minimum number of legislators needed to conduct business, and traveled to Illinois, Boston, and Albany, New York.

In New York, Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) said during a press conference that the fleeing lawmakers are “brave soldiers for our democracy” and they are on the “right side of history.”

“History will judge us for how we respond to this moment,” Hochul said. “This is a war. We are at war. And that’s why the gloves are off, and I say, bring it on,” she added.

Democrats are planning to spend tens of millions of dollars to spin narratives on social media as part of a $110.5 million fundraising effort, according to images of slides from a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) donor event obtained by Breitbart News.

Under a heading “Urgent Off-Year Funding Needs” on one slide, it states the DCCC looks to raise $10 million for social media and content creation, $20 million for “Accountability work,” $15 million for “Voter Registration,” $5 million for “Recruitment” and “Primary Engagement,” and $2 million for “Research” and a “Rapid Response Infrastructure.”

One goal is to enlist at least 667 content creators, with the aim of reaching 83 million Americans and drawing 6.6 million engagements, per another slide that focuses on content creation. The program aims to engage at least 167 “Non-Political Creators” and 8 “Vetted Creators for ads in every target state.”

There will be what the DCCC calls a “Social Media Bootcamp” that runs for four weeks. The boot camp, which seems to be for content creators, will focus on “Customized social media evaluation,” “Platform-specific optimization strategies,” “Realtime insights on trending content and engagement Strategies,” and “Daily + rapid response content.”

ICYMI: Tesla founder Elon Musk gave $5 million to the MAGA Inc. super PAC in late June amid his public disagreements with President Donald Trump and a series of high-profile exchanges.

Musk also gave $5 million to the Senate Leadership Fund and Congressional Leadership Fund, The Hill reported, citing campaign finance filings. The late June donations came as Trump and Musk have generally backed off from attacking one another in public.

The X platform owner previously served as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and left the White House in May to comply with his limited term as a special government employee.

He has, however, expressed considerable frustration with the GOP and Trump himself over budget-related matters and even announced the formation of the "America Party" to fight for stronger budgeting.

As businesses and government services continue to adopt open-source software, a new report indicates that foreign actors are secretly infiltrating software infrastructure with ill intent.

According to a report from strategic intelligence company Strider, the widespread adoption of OSS has outpaced the development of relevant cybersecurity measures, allowing well-trained “advanced persistent threat groups” to insert malicious code into widely used software.

OSS is source code that is publicly available and licensed for use by any party.

The code is often available for free and is open to modification by anyone. The report argues that this philosophy has let state-affiliated actors from Russia, China and North Korea distribute malicious code.

Russia no longer considers itself bound by a moratorium on the deployment of ground-based intermediate and shorter range missiles, the Foreign Ministry said.

Conditions for maintaining the unilateral moratorium on the deployment of such weapons are no longer in place, the ministry said in a statement Monday. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov signaled the move would happen in December.

President Vladimir Putin said that month he may deploy his country’s Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile in Belarus in the second half of 2025.

The Gates Foundation will spend $2.5 billion by 2030 on women’s health, it said on Monday, with founder Bill Gates saying the area, including conditions from preeclampsia to menopause, had been neglected for too long.

The investment is among its first big commitments since Gates announced earlier this year that he would give away his $200bn fortune by 2045. It is around one-third more than the Foundation spent on women’s and maternal health over the last five years.

The work will look at deeply under-researched areas that affect hundreds of millions of women in both high- and low-income countries, from preeclampsia and gestational diabetes to heavy menstrual bleeding, endometriosis, and menopause.

Investment will focus on five key areas: obstetric care and maternal immunization; maternal health and nutrition; gynaecological and menstrual health; contraceptive innovation; and sexually transmitted infection.

The aim is to kickstart research, develop products, and ensure equitable access to them worldwide.

JUST IN: Tommy Robinson has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault at St Pancras station last week.

The 42-year-old, far-Right activist was arrested at Luton airport after landing on a flight from Faro in Portugal.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers from BTP have tonight [Tuesday] arrested a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire in connection to an assault at St Pancras station on July 28.

“The arrest took place at Luton airport shortly after 6.30pm, following a notification that the man had boarded an incoming flight from Faro.

“The man had been wanted for questioning after leaving the country to Tenerife in the early hours of Aug 29 following the incident at St Pancras.

“He was arrested on suspicion of GBH [Grievous Bodily Harm] and will now be taken to custody for questioning.”

FBI Director Kash Patel visited New Zealand over the weekend to launch the bureau’s new office there, saying the country was a crucial partner for fighting Chinese influence in the Indo-Pacific region.

Patel said the international field office, known as a legal attaché office, was the first such office to open in decades. The FBI has more than 60 offices across the globe designed to focus on international threats and intelligence building.

Fresh off a meeting with Five Eyes partners in the region, Patel laid out the FBI New Zealand office's priorities.

The Five Eyes alliance is a decades-old global group of five countries that share intelligence with each other for national security purposes. In addition to the United States and New Zealand, it includes the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. New Zealand has faced pressure to align more closely with the United States on China while also balancing its own relationship with Beijing, according to The Associated Press.

China took issue with the FBI's announcement in remarks on Friday, saying it did not support the two countries teaming up against a third country.
