Y’all realize the Insurrection Act talk is a trap, right?

Trump has mentioned the Insurrection Act many times since 2020 and has brought it up recently, but every time all he is saying is that it’s available to him—which, of course, it is.

But some very dangerous (politically and literally) people, mostly mainstream Democrats and extreme Right paramilitary types, WANT him to invoke it—because it’s a trap.

A lot of gullible (though well-meaning and sincere) people, who genuinely support Trump, keep predicting and kinda fantasizing about him invoking the IA.

They seem to think it would be some brilliant masterstroke that brings about a wave of justice or a big reckoning or something… not realizing they’re actively promoting the trap.

ICYMI: President Trump has invited Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin to join his newly created “Board of Peace” to help mediate the Gaza conflict.

The board, which the President will chair with veto power, requires participating nations to pay over $1 billion for a permanent seat, with dozens of world leaders already invited.
