๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ™‚Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said Sunday that she wanted to โ€œheap praiseโ€ on the Trump administration for its response to the Palisades and Eaton wildfires earlier this year โ€” contradicting Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).

Earlier this month, Newsom lashed out at the Trump administration, and especially special envoy for special missions Ric Grenell, who has been the White House point man on the ground in the early recovery stages.

As Breitbart News reported, Newsom attacked Grenell for criticizing the stateโ€™s fire and water policies, and accused the Trump administration of allowing fires to spread within brush on federal lands in California.

But Bass adopted a different tone in an appearance on ABC Newsโ€™ This Week. The context was an interview about Bassโ€™s opposition to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids.

RADDATZ: When you look at that border today, is there anything good you think the administration has done in these six months at the border?

BASS: Well, I will heap praise on the administration for the first six months in Los Angeles with the fires. If you ask me, is there anything that they have done good in terms of immigration? I donโ€™t know. I donโ€™t think so. I think that the viewpoint has been punitive, has been, letโ€™s make it as miserable as possible so that these people donโ€™t come.

ICYMI๐Ÿ’ฅ: Reps. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) and Byron Donalds (R-FL) called for arrests after new records into the Obama administration revealed that the claims Russia interfered with the 2016 presidential election were โ€œmanufactured and politicized intelligence.โ€

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified records on Friday showing โ€œa treasonous conspiracyโ€ to prevent President Donald Trump from โ€œfulfilling his mandate.โ€ Luna said the report is a โ€œperfect example and reasonโ€ to push for reform of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

JUST IN๐Ÿ”ฅ: Trump Media & Technology Group has acquired about $2 billion in Bitcoin and related securities, reaching a key goal in its $2.5 billion crypto treasury strategy announced in May. These holdings now make up roughly two-thirds of the company's $3 billion in liquid assets, establishing it as a significant corporate Bitcoin holder.

The Sarasota firm also invested $300 million in Bitcoin options, planning to convert them and buy more assets depending on market conditions. It intends to use the holdings for revenue and additional crypto acquisitions.

NOTHING TO SEE HERE๐Ÿ™„: U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer has been tapped to oversee one of President Trump's requests to unseal Jeffrey Epstein's grand jury records. This is the same judge who earlier this year slapped down the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) by blocking its access to Treasury resources, a decision that drew sharp rebuke from the White House for overstepping judicial bounds.

For patriots eager to expose the full extent of Epstein's elite networkโ€”potentially implicating deep-state darlings and Clinton-era croniesโ€”this assignment smells like another layer of obstruction. Engelmayer's history of rulings against Trump initiatives suggests he might drag his feet or outright deny the release, shielding powerful figures from accountability while the public is left in the dark.

If Engelmayer follows his pattern, expect delays, redactions, or worseโ€” They'll blame President Trump, though.

How do you think your hotel room gets cleaned, how do you think the food on your fucking table, who do you think washes your dishes, what do you think, does your fucking garden? Who do you think is here by the fucking sheer fucking just grit and will that they figured out a way to get here because they thought that they could give their selves and the family a better chance, and he's somehow convinced all of us that these people are the fucking criminals?"

Jeffrey Epstein's former lawyer has suggested that the sex-trafficking financier's only convicted accomplice should be granted immunity from further prosecution in exchange for coming clean in front of Congress.

Ghislaine Maxwell, 63, is the only associate held criminally or civilly liable in connection with the allegations against Epstein. In 2016, she sat for a deposition in a civil lawsuit, in which she denied recollection of nearly two dozen flights on Epstein's private jet with an underage Virginia Giuffre, who would go on to become the trafficking duo's most outspoken accuser. Epstein's flight logs showed Giuffre and Maxwell on the plane at the same time 23 times before she turned 18, Fox News Digital reported previously.

"[Maxwell] knows everything," Alan Dershowitz, a former attorney for Epstein, told Fox News' Shannon Bream on "Fox News Sunday." "She is the Rosetta Stone."

An unidentified friend of Maxwell's said in a recent interview with the Daily Mail that she would be open to testifying before Congress. Maxwell's attorney declined to confirm or deny the reporting.

NEW: Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg failed to replace outdated air traffic control systems while in office โ€” with his agency instead shelling out tens of billions of dollars on a DEI agenda, according to federal spending records and airline industry insiders.

In one meeting, Buttigieg โ€” who is said to be eyeing a 2028 presidential run โ€” told industry executives that air traffic control upgrades would just allow them to fly more planes, โ€œand so why would that be in his interest?,โ€ sources said.

What his department was really interested in was handing out hundreds of diversity, equity and inclusion grants totaling more than $80 billion over four years โ€” at least half of the DOTโ€™s entire budget for a typical fiscal year, records show.

โ€œHe was definitely pushing an agenda,โ€ an air industry official said, noting the transportation secretary had โ€œlittle to no interestโ€ and took โ€œdefinitely zero actionโ€ toward air traffic control modernization.

During an interview with Shawn Ryan, Gavin Newsom seemingly waffles on his Leftist policies, from Gender-Care to Immigration and even Gun Control.

When asked if eight-year-old children should be given medical treatments to change their biological sex, he squirmed, obfuscated, and tried to occupy both sides of the subject.

But Monday's podcast episode is just the latest, though perhaps most egregious, shape-shifting move by the mercurial governor, who has made little secret of his presidential ambitions.

Many believe Newsom will run for President in 2028, and he has not ruled it out.

Republicans are not convinced, and Democrats are not pleased. Conservatives are suspicious of Newsom's intentions, while the liberals feel betrayed.

NEWโ—๏ธ: The FBI failed to comprehensively analyze crucial thumb drives containing cyber-intrusion data from the State Department during its investigation of Hillary Clinton's private email server, according to a newly declassified Justice Department Inspector General report.

A confidential source provided the drives with data including emails from former President Barack Obama. Despite an internal draft memo stressing the need to "assess the national security risks" of Clinton's server, the bureau skipped full analysis over privilege concerns about victim data.

JUST INโšก๏ธ: The Department of Justice confirmed Monday that it has received Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard's criminal referral related to her bombshell claims that Obama-era officials "manufactured and politicized intelligence" to create the narrative that Russia was attempting to influence the 2016 presidential election, Fox News has confirmed.

The Department of Justice declined further comment, but confirmed to Fox News that the department received the referral.

Gabbard released unclassified documents Friday that reportedly show "overwhelming evidence" that then-President Barack Obama and his national security team laid the groundwork for what would be the yearslong Trumpโ€“Russia collusion probe after Trump's election win against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Additionally, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) also will release declassified documents related to a 2018 DOJ Inspector General report on the Justice Department's handling of the investigations related to the 2016 presidential election, Fox News confirmed Monday. Grassley will specifically declassify the report's appendix, which Fox learned focuses specifically on the Clinton email investigation.

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba revealed plans on Monday to stay in office to provide โ€œstabilityโ€ and tackle economic concerns after his ruling coalition saw striking losses in the countryโ€™s upper house elections.

Ishibaโ€™s Liberal Democratic Party, along with longtime partner Komeito, lost its majority in the upper house of parliament during elections on Sunday. The loss, coming after the LDP lost its majority in the lower House last October, marks the first time Ishibaโ€™s party has lost a majority in both houses of parliament since its inception in 1955, sparking growing speculation over the weekend that Ishiba would step down.

ICYMI๐Ÿ’ฅ: Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell now faces a formal DOJ criminal referral for perjury, filed by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), who accuses him of lying under oath about the Fed's extravagant $2.5 billion headquarters renovation.

The referral stems from Powell's June 25 Senate Banking Committee testimony denying lavish add-ons. "There's no VIP dining room. There's no new marble. There are no special elevators. There are no new water features. There's no beehives and there's no roof terrace gardens," he claimed.

Luna charges that planning documents contradict him, showing a VIP private dining room, premium marble, modern elevators, water features, and a roof terrace garden. She alleges he also downplayed the $600 million cost surge in his response to White House Budget Director Russell Vought. "Jerome Powell has just been referred to the DOJ for criminal charges for perjury related to his $2.5 billion 'renovation' to the Federal Reserve Building," Luna's allies amplified on X.

I'm not sure the exact requests this is in response to, but Senator Grassley has been asking for information related to the investigation of Clinton's server from DOJ/FBI going all the way back to July 6, 2016

He continued these requests into 2017

I did not immediately find a recent request for Clinton-related documents on his website, BUT upon the revelation of a 'Prohibited Access' area at the FBI, Senator Grassley reiterated to AG Bondi the many outstanding requests he had lodged over the yearsโ€”which would include the ones above and more.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner has died. He was 54.

The actor was in Costa Rica on a family vacation and drowned while swimming, a source confirms to PEOPLE.

A rep for Warner did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

The actor played the only son of Bill Cosby's character, Heathcliff Huxtable, in the sitcom from 1984 to 1992.

In 2023, Warner told PEOPLE of the show, "I know I can speak for all the cast when I say The Cosby Show is something that we are all still very proud of."
