The tanker Vilamoura exploded off the coast of Libya while transporting about 1 million barrels of oil, according to the vessel's management company. Prior to the incident, the ship had called at the Russian port of Ust-Luga, Bloomberg reported.

According to maritime risk consultancy Vanguard Tech, this is the fifth explosion this year involving tankers that previously visited Russian ports.

AWS is jointly developed/procured by the US Missile Defense Agency and Israeli Missile Defense Organization.

Arrow 4, like Arrow 2 (and THAAD) will be both an endo- and exo-atmospheric interceptor.
