The Russian MoD posted a video two days ago of an Iskander-M ballistic missile strike on a training area near Cherkaske, Dnipropetrovsk oblast corrected with a Russian UAV. Yuriy Butusov said the 168th Reserve Battalion is based there with soldiers who left their units waiting to transfer to other units (other sources say it was the 157th Mechanized Brigade). He says 32 I were killed and approximately 100 were wounded.

Ukrainian Ground Forces commander Mykhailo Drapatyi posted on Facebook, “Because it hurts me too. Because anger is eating me up. I waited for initial data to avoid speculation, and now I must warn: everyone who made decisions that day, and everyone who failed to make them on time, will be held accountable. No one will hide behind explanations or formal reports...

I have ordered an independent investigation involving military counterintelligence to ensure that no detail is overlooked and that those responsible are identified and cannot...

RT @J_JHelin: Some thoughts on yesterdays summit the morning after:

After three years of full scale invasion, Europe and the collective non-US West is finally starting to piece together a strategy.

It's still largely on the "concept of a plan" -stage, but better late than never.

RT @J_JHelin: All in all, even if the first steps of this new Ukraine strategy look shaky, I welcome the fact that we finally have some semblance of a strategy.

However, the Western leadership still avoids talking about the elephant in the room: what do we do if the US abandons us?

RT @J_JHelin: The newfound determination from the democractic nations is good, as is actual talk of boots on the ground in a post-cease fire world.

However, boots on the ground means that those nations have to be ready to wage war on Russia if it tests any ceasefire.

Even without US backing.

RT @Tatarigami_UA: Over the past few days, I've seen numerous bad-faith arguments from the White House administration and its influencers about "stopping the war”. Only Putin can order his military to halt offensive operations: only that will end the active offensive. If Zelensky were to issue such an order, the war wouldn’t end, but instead, Russian forces would simply continue advancing. Putin has already rejected a truce, yet figures like Elon Musk, David Sacks, Marco Rubio, Mike Waltz, and various X influencers never ask him to stop.

Ukraine has no means to end the war, thus trying to portray Zelensky or Ukraine as a country that can end the war is a pure gaslighting

RT @Tatarigami_UA: Regarding European discussions on aid and security guarantees: bluntly speaking, nothing short of boots on the ground and readiness to shoot and be targeted if Russia violates a truce will be truly effective. And Europe isn’t prepared for that, at least not yet. Thus, skeptical

RT @EerikMatero: @J_JHelin: There is still a big issue in the plan:

Why would Russia want a ceasefire if the battlefield conditions are better than the diplomatic ones? I have not really seen anything in the plan that would either force Russia to sit at the table or make them want to sit at the table.
