❗🇺🇸 Outgoing SecDef Austin has told the Office of Management & Budget that the Department of Defense requires a budget of $926 billion in FY26.

Congressional Republicans are already discussing an increase in both FY25 & FY26 defense spending of a similar magnitude.

House Armed Services Chairman Rogers was reportedly due to brief President-elect Trump over the weekend on their plans to include the defense spending increase in the reconciliation package.

IMO: Ukraine does need to address manpower shortages. But it’s not only shortages; it’s about quality, including training and arming as well as other related issues that it needs to address. As for it being “all in,” I can’t think of anyone who’s been more “in” for democracy in the past three years than Ukrainians.
