@OccTranspo: I don't think we will come to any agreement on this but I would caution against writing off the lessons of WW2.
Also, I would caution against underestimating the challenges of OTH-T, even in 2025 and especially in a high intensity war. This can lead to, serious mistakes in assessing both one's own and the enemy's capabilities.

Literally nobody believes that other than Joe Biden and Jake Sullivan. Russia had 800,000 Russians get killed and injured in Ukraine. They wouldn’t be using a nuclear weapon is 20,000 more were killed or injured. 🤦
