At the same time, armed resistance is breaking out in southern Syria (let's not forget that there are both local dynamics and contacts between rebels in the north and south). Daraa and Inkhil are in a rebellion mode.
There are reports of resistance in Homs as well, particularly in Talbiseh.

Anything from dumb T-55s with North Korean LRF, so many T-72 Urals with Sarab-2s, ZiL-157 w/S-60 technical, Tatra 148, AMB-S... Insane stuff!

Following developments in Syria isn't my forte, but with the current pace of events, if I was in the Russian Navy High Command, I'd start getting concerned about Tartus.
Predictions aren't for me here, but Tartus is critical for Russian Navy ops in the Mediterranean.

@GregoryPWaters: Events move so fast. My expectation about SAA trying to hold on the Orontes River was wrong - seems they just kept running south. Rebels have since liberated Hama town this evening. Homs will fall next.
