RT @HN_Schlottman: @CatchUpFeed: Is there anything more unseemly than X's resident billionaire oligarch calling for the *appropriate* punishment for a combat vet.

Meanwhile, someone who wants to pardon Snowden is the presumptive nominee for Director of National Intelligence.

"'The situation is very critical,' said East, the callsign of a commander of a drone unit with Ukraine’s 15th National Guard working around Pokrovsk. 'We lack infantry to fight and hold out for some time while the drones do their work. That’s why we often see situations where the enemy uncontrollably penetrates vulnerable areas.'

Troops in Pokrovsk told CNN of manpower shortages so acute they feared Russia could make a significant breakthrough and complained of having to use drones to strike advancing Russian units because they lacked infantry to confront them.

One commander said Selydove, a key town outside of Pokrovsk taken by Russia in October, was defended with only six Ukrainian positions, which he assessed meant about 60 troops were involved in the operation. They were quickly encircled, outnumbered and retreated with significant casualties...

"East, the drone commander, said he was assigned to the area in August. 'During this time, we have never gone to the training grounds or replenished our personnel,' he said. The Russians 'are constantly staffed, constantly trained, there are certain rotations, replenishment of personnel. We constantly hear about it from intercepts, that they have replacements and rotations.'"

The funny thing is that Ukrainian strike UAV battalion commanders consistently emphasize that UAVs cannot replace artillery, infantry, and other capabilities. They complement existing capabilities, and they have their own limitations.

Reuters: Ukrainian strikes with US-supplied ATACMS missiles on the Russian territory have not increased the risk of nuclear escalation by Moscow, according to US intelligence assessments.

Russia is likely, however, to expand its sabotage campaign against Western countries to increase pressure on the West over its support for Kyiv, sources told Reuters.

@InsiderGeo: We all knew it was BS for over 3 years. Russia isn’t going to use a nuclear weapon. There is zero benefit to them, there economy is already bad, with a nuclear weapons it would be a total collapse and the vast majority of international relations. And a potential military response

RT @cym27s: In the Black Sea, there are two missile carriers with a total salvo of up to 16 Kalibr.

@cym27s: That would actually be a terrible idea. Ukraine only has ~600k from 18 to 24. But from 25 to 50 they have 6 to 7 million males

They need to be drafting more from 25 to 50 because only 3% of those males 25 to 50 are on the frontline fighting. Digging into under 25 is a bad choice
