These were done on hand signal requests by the Soviet crews so not unsafe according to the F-4 backseater interviewed here.

@cym27s: Most of their positions. That seems hard to believe because Hezbollah has over fighters and a couple hundred were killed. They probably have most of their short range attack and defenses unless this report is true. Most of their leadership and long range missiles were destroyed.
