❗️🇺🇸🇺🇦 💥 Munitions production update 💥🧵

New fact sheet on the UDCG's National Armaments Directors Meeting has a lot of information on a number of efforts, will highlight a few additional things in replies below. ⬇️

▶️ US 155mm production has reached 40,000/month. Unclear if this is from the partial operationalization of the first new line at GD-OTS Mesquite, or an increase from GD-OTS NEPA. The US will increase that further to 55,000/m in the next month or so, and should reach 80,000 by the end of the year per ASA Doug Bush.

▶️ 155mm MACS production is 18,000/m. This is considerably less than I expected. LAP capacity and supplier diversity for MACS is fairly strong, so it is being bottlenecked by M31A2 Triple-Base Propellant production. Efforts are underway to increase this.

▶️ GMLRS production is 1,167/m (14,000/year). Per the P-1 this was scheduled for next year, but it was previously reported that they would achieve it this yea...

8🇷🇺POWs at Sudzha Border Crossing post, 6 August.
Two clips from a long interview with 488th Motor Rifle Regt conscript from the Nenet people.
At their position on 6th August (corrected from the 7th), they had small arms, a MG, a RPG, and an 'Utyos; NSV MG. They were under heavy fire all night and bombed by a 'Baba Yaga' drone.
UAF approached at night to some 100-200m from their position. Then men in the adjacent position fled, and so did they.
There were 14 in his group and together with border guards about 40 of them surrendered. The interviewer explains he is from that group which went along the road with 3 white flags followed drone who surrendered to 6 UAF, thus matching to story in tweet 7. The POW confirms that interpretation.
They praise the initial decision to surrender made by the RuAF Lieutenant Tunin.

@UkrReview: She is lying, the US does not have a small number of ATACMS, the US currently has over 2,200 ATACMS missiles and they have sent around 200 missiles to Ukraine in a whole year. The US also has over 11,000 +300km cruise missiles, and are replacing all ATACMS with 4,000 PRSMs

@Soppie_nl @UkrReview: They were not send from US stocks. Around 900 ATACMS were made to date for other countries, those are not included in the 2,200 count which are only US Military ATACMS. The ones going to Poland and Romania, and the ones delivered were ordered to be newly built by Lockheed Martin.

RT @UAControlMap: @Bielitzling @GeoConfirmed @UAControlMap: Russian forces start advancing into the Nevelske pocket, raising the flag a couple of kilometers north of Krasnohorivka. Ukrainian forces have likely withdrew in good order due to the Russian advances, so expect to see a few more in the area https://twitter.com/SimonMarekn/status/1832131456459768045#m

RT @mackhawk: Good news: TSMC achieved yields at its AZ facility on par w plants back home — an early indicator that its US project is on track to achieve targets, incl. full production in 2025

TSMC is in line for a $6.6b Chips Act grant & $5b loan (no $ disbursed yet)

RT @Kasparov63: Responding to force with talk & ineffective sanctions is the response the bad guys hope to see. As in Syria, the worst terror regimes in the world have united to slaughter civilians in Ukraine. Assad is still there, despite American "red lines", so why change their tactics? https://twitter.com/ColbyBadhwar/status/1832113533334528363#m

RT @JamesRaxz: @ColbyBadhwar: Obama's failure as a President is complete.

He chose to ignore Iran's drone and ballistic missile programs to secure JCPOA. He was warned why it was the wrong decision.

Hungry for a a Nobel Prize for John Kerry, he did it anyway.

8 years later, they strike Europe.

On air defense, we have a name for one of the “FrankenSAM” systems: iTEL; Buk is referenced as another one. For NASAMs: "subsequent functionality upgrades to expand interceptor options". Unclear if this means upgrading older FUs to accept AIM-9X-2, or a totally different missile.

We already knew this, but "Coordination of initial co-development of Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM), a low-cost, long-range cruise missile for mass production." is called out.
