The aviation activity of the Russian Aerospace Forces increased 4-fold in May, and the number of the Russian aviation increased.
The 4-fold increase in the aviation activity of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Belarus in May was connected with two factors: visits of Russian officials to Belarus and joint Air Force drills of Belarus and Russia.
According to our data, in May, Russian transport aircraft arrived at the following Belarusian airports and airfields:
• Machulishchy airfield – Tu-214 and An-26;
• Baranavichy airfield – An-26;
• Hrodna airport – An-148.
In addition, the number of the Russian aircraft located in Belarus has also increased. On May 16, two Su-30SM fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived at Baranavichy airfield from Voronezh (Russia).
As of June 1, the following aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces are permanently stationed in Belarus:
• Lida airfield – 1 Su-25 attack aircraft;
• Baranavichy airfield – 2...
