A Ukrainian fighter jet fired a weapon at a target inside Russia for the first time, a Ukrainian military source has told Sky News.

According to the source, the strike targeted a Russian command node in the area of Belgorod.

It was not immediately clear what type of munition was used in the attack, including whether or not it had been a Western-delivered weapon.
