Ukrainian warplane fires weapon at target inside Russia for first time
"While damage assessment is still occurring, it is confirmed as a direct hit," a Ukrainian military source tells Sky News.

Russia has 21 Su-57 Fighter Jets remaining active, as of now, that launch Kh-59/69 missiles at Ukraine 🇺🇦
3 Su-57s remain at active Akhtubinsk Air Base located ~600km from Ukraine
Up to 4 Su-57s are at Lipetsk Air Base, located 280km from Ukraine, within ATACMS range
Only 2-4 ATACMS missiles would be needed to take out the 4 Su-57s at Lipetsk, 20% of Russia’s Stealth Fighter Jets with just 2 to 4 missiles, but US does not allow Ukraine to strike inside Russia with ATACMS. This now allows Russia to build shelters for their fighter jets in ATACMS range or move them to a much further air base outside of ATACMS range, making them significantly harder to destroy in the future if they are not hit soon enough by ATACMS

@cimbalekj: If they are moved to another airbase like Akhtubinsk, SCALP cannot reach them. With Su-57 they are in small numbers only 4 in ATACMS range, but Su-34/35s, over 50 are in ATACMS range and if they are covered with shelters or put out of ATACMS range it will be harder to strike them

@DEADMED1C @clashreport: That seriously damaged the aircraft, a total of 3 drones landed within less than 5-7 meters of the aircraft. FighterBomber confirmed that there is damage to the Su-57. It will likely never fly again.

@Maks_NAFO_FELLA: This is a joke. 20 F-16 pilots will be trained after nearly 3 years of the war and over a year of delays in training. We don’t know if those old F-16s will be upgraded well and 6 Mirage’s. Those are not making any difference; they are not serious about giving good jets to Ukraine

@DEADMED1C @clashreport: What exactly are they losing? Russia has had a failed offensive in Kharkiv, now Russia is losing land they took in both sections of the North Kharkiv front. Nobody is losing or winning the war at the moment, it is pretty equal on both sides.

Ukraine was expected to lose the country in the first week of the invasion, against the #2 strongest military in the world, against a country 30 larger, Ukraine retook back +50% of what Russia took and are stopping Russian advances

Ukraine had no chance of winning the war in 7 days; in fact they were expected to lose it within a week but they did what almost nobody predicted. Now, Russia been stuck fighting in Ukraine for +2 years and their country gets bombed
