For the first time since 2021, a plane of a Syrian airline arrived in Minsk from Damascus: previously it transported migrants to Belarus.

At 12:16, Airbus A320-233 (YK-BAA) of Cham Wings Airlines, a private Syrian airline, has landed at Minsk National Airport. The plane flew from Damascus (Syria) on the route SAW431.

In 2021, migrants from Arab countries were “secretly” brought to Belarus on board the planes of this airline. According to our data, the last time Cham Wings Airlines brought migrants to Minsk was on November 12, 2021.

This airline is sanctioned by the U.S., Ukraine and Switzerland, and is also involved in the transportation of weapons and fighters of PMC Wagner.
