@MonsterMikii: I didn't see the article, but the recent US aid package has likely improved the ammunition situation over the past two weeks. We are getting into mud season, too. I suspect Russia will continue trying to press towards Pokrovsk while regenerating forces for a May-June offensive.

This is an important initiative, but it is also critical to provide Ukraine with standardized ammunition as much as possible. Different 155mm rounds have different ballistics, and certain rounds are better suited to specific howitzers. This adds complications for artillery crews.

Ukraine's running out of ammo but will now get huge shipments of shells it needs most.
Not from the U.S., or any big power, but thanks to Czechia, which clinched a global deal because it operated outside EU/NATO bureaucracies & used Cold War relations

152mm and 122mm ammunition deliveries are helpful for a few reasons. Many Ukrainian maneuver brigades do not have NATO howitzers, so they have to rely on support from artillery brigades. And the reliance on 155mm ammunition is creating a problem with barrels for NATO howitzers.

@greygossling @Orysiaua @prezidentpavel @ColbyBadhwar @RALee85 What I learnt today at Munich, under the Chatham House rule, was that European artillery ammo producers are exporting 40% of their output to third countries (ie not Ukraine).

Прикордонні райони вирівнюють із землею ФАБами, КАБами, артилерією. Через роботу арти люди майже не виходять із підвалів.
За добу може бути до 500 прильотів. Деякі села виглядають уже як Мар'їнка та Бахмут.

RT @_JakubJanda: Instead of fully focusing on what Ukraine really needs now (artillery or air defense ammo), we as Europeans are spending weeks publicly debating symblic items such as if and which few trainers to send to Ukraine.
Why?
Because Germany and France do not want to put their full political and economic weight behind crushing Russian terrorists out of Ukraine, so Berlin and Paris do a pissing contest over their leadership egos while one refuses to give real money (@EmmanuelMacron) and the other refuses to give key weapons (Taurus, @Bundeskanzler).
Ukrainians are dying everyday and main European discussion is NOT about the core Ukrainian need.
Amazing strategic stupidity.

Special Operations Forces of Belarus are still stationed in the regions bordering Ukraine.
In February, Belarusian Hajun continued to record the presence of the Special Operations Forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces in the regions of Belarus bordering Ukraine. Officially, it has been repeatedly stated that the military there perform tasks to protect the border with Ukraine, but at the same time they also guard Russian military facilities in Homiel region.
As of the end of February, the following units were stationed in the area bordering Ukraine:
• The 357th Separate Parachute Airborne Battalion of the 103rd Airborne Brigade.
Where: the vicinity of Ziabrauka airfield.
• A detachment of the 5th Brigade of the Special Operations Forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces.
Where: the vicinity of Mazyr.
We estimate the total number of these units at 400-500 people.

According to Belarusian Hajun, the intensity of flights of the Belarusian Air Force increased twice in February compared to January. Such growth is connected, among other things, with the counter-terrorist operation conducted in Lelchytsy district on February 15.
We note that the entire helicopter and aircraft fleet of the Belarusian Air Force was involved in the flights. The following airfields were used for the flights:
• Lida;
• Baranavichy;
• Machulishchy;
• Vosautsy;
• Lunients.
In addition, during the month, flights of helicopters the Belarusian Air Force to the border area with Poland were also recorded.
