One thing we are relearning is that assaulting entrenched defensive positions with minefields that are covered by artillery fire and under observation is very difficult. Moving in a file makes sense to avoid mines especially if you have a limited number of minerollers.

@ManglerOfProse Was talking more about non-military audiences. I think the issue for them is that they don't have the necessary advantages (e.g. air superiority) to overcome Ukraine's defenses there, but politics is playing a role in continuing to order assaults.

@ManglerOfProse I think the effect use of RAAMS is interesting because people keep pushing for doing away with FASCAM, but they are obviously still quite useful. One of my other overall points about the way is that we tend to focus on new systems but old tech is still very effective.
