🇩🇪 has granted an export license for Leopard 1 main battle tanks to 🇺🇦. According to SPIEGEL, there are 29 largely refurbished models.

@CorporalFrisk The way I interpret the recent political signals is that more will likely come.

There seems to be a political shift underway, a realization what this "brave new world" with a new iron curtain, requires in terms of increasing Norwegian military capabilities and spending.

@SebastianoPeot1 @CorporalFrisk I don't think the commotion around donations had any influence on this decision. We have been buying German equipment since the 60s, and current large common programs includes the Type 212CD submarines and joint procurement of Naval Strike Missiles.
