Tonight, protesting Serbs set up a barricade on the main road from the direction of the Serbian town of Kuršumlija, not far the Merdare administrative crossing.

As Kosovo-online reports, they did it to show support for Serbs from the north of Kosovo.

Russian Ambassador in Serbia Aleksandar Bocan-Kharchenko assessed that the situation in Kosovo is "on the verge of a wider conflict."

He also praised Serbian President Vučić for his "strong position" in response to the events on the ground.
