Russian Ambassador in Serbia Aleksandar Bocan-Kharchenko assessed that the situation in Kosovo is "on the verge of a wider conflict."

He also praised Serbian President Vučić for his "strong position" in response to the events on the ground.

Digging trenches and improving perimeter defences are normal when there's a war on, even if there's no apparent direct threat. Keeps the troops busy too.

What will be interesting to see is if this done elsewhere in Crimea and in other border oblasts.
