The Ukrainian Air Force says that Russia launched more than 10 missiles today, including Kh-59, Kh-31, Oniks, and Iskander-K (9M728). They also say that Russia continued to use S-300 missiles in a ground attack role.

A couple of Russian sources have said there are problems requesting aviation and artillery support to counter Ukraine's offensive. Likely that Ukrainian HIMARS strikes in July-August and possibly the attack on Saki Airfield contributed to this.

An additional thought. If Ukraine can achieve local pockets of air superiority on the FLOT for TB2 strikes or so UAVs can locate targets more effectively for arty, then that could compensate for a lack of a numerical superiority with ground forces. 15/
