RT @sumlenny: Russians shells residential area in Kharkiv. They could not take this city, just a few miles from the border, and now they let their rage fall on the citizens. Russia must be stopped - with military means!

RT @anders_aslund: This is wonderful. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has opened a hot line for Russians who want to know what has happened to their relatives soldiers, since the Russian Ministry of Defense does not provide any information. This is how democracy wins over dictatorships.

13. Yesterday 25/02/22 after RuAF airborne units took Hostomel airbase there was fighting to its south in Bucha here. UAF then pulled back into Kyiv. Here two destroyed Maz trucks possibly straffed from the air and an abandoned Kraz, likely National guard
-----------
@UAWeapons:
#Ukraine: UA trucks were attacked in #Bucha, Kyiv oblast, with various cases for materiel spread around, 2x Igla-1 inert training MANPADS models & 9P135M-series GLS for 9M111/9M113 seen.

Contents of the cases are unclear but likely once included ATGM & small arms ammo at least. https://t.co/IDtx02dH34

A company worth of Russian tanks and other vehicles reportedly in Chernihiv Oblast. What is notable is how old these tanks are, including T-72A, T-72AV, T-72B obr 1985 and 1989, MT-LB, and BMP-2. Likely an Eastern Military District unit.

14. Russian airborne forces also took losses in Bucha, here an BTR-D airborne APC, or command or signals variant of that vehicle (too burnt to tell). Note a BMD-2 would have 5 and not 6 wheels as seen here.
-----------
@UAWeapons:
#Ukraine: A Russian BMD-2 airborne infantry fighting vehicle suffered an apparently dramatic cook off. Unfortunately the precise location is unknown. https://t.co/nR0qf0g6rY

One potential mistake in Russia's plan was to use its Eastern Military District units to play a key role in the advance on Kyiv, the most important objective. Russia's Eastern Military District is the lowest priority for equipment and manning.

As a reminder, several Russian Su-25 attack aircraft were struck by MANPADS in Georgia in 2008. Some were lost but several managed to make it back to their airbases despite heavy damage. Photos from 2008 of Su-25 from the 368th Attack Aviation Regiment that survived.
