I tried to reconstruct life in the Azovstal steel plant of Mariupol through interviews with those who made it out this week after months under relentless Russian bombardment. The picture they painted was even more harrowing than I’d imagined https://t.co/kh9Et8Q4cR

184-5. Recently (03/05) 93rd Mechanised Bde showed some of their captured tanks including a very rare T-80UK - see Shtora-1 under the net. Not sure if same as other recorded captured, inset pic3. Also T-80BVM pic4. Either SW of Izyum or Husarivka/Balakliya front - 93rd cover both

Russian TV showing a captured Ukrainian reinforced concrete bunker, likely somewhere in the east.

Attacking a network of such positions aren't easy, even in the 21st Century.

Makes me think our Cold War coastal forts and fixed fortifications weren't so old-fashioned after all.

As the Donbass war has been going since 2014, Ukrainians had time to build very thorough fortifications. Notice how a Russian TV correspondent is describing an abandoned Ukrainian position. Why would he need to show that? Well, to show why Russian advance goes slower than planned https://t.co/Eo5T3TVInp
