@Anthony22475983 @simpatico771: Yes, but the current Russian approach doesn’t require the best infantry. And there is a qualitative improvement in their UAS capabilities.

Just when we thought we had already seen everything, like FPV drones taking down Russian helicopters, the Ukrainian SOF have taken it even further.

For the first time in history, a Russian military Mi-8 helicopter has been shot down by a guided deep-strike drone FP-1. 200km from the frontline, Kuteinikovo Rostov region of Russia.

RT @J_JHelin: This cannot be overstated and I've complained about in incessantly, but despite Trump and 4 years of war Europe has still failed to buld itself into a credible security policy actor and failed to create an actual strategy towards Ukraine.

RT @SOF_UKR: For the first time, a russian Mi-8 helicopter was shot down in mid-air by a Ukrainian Special Operations Forces “deep-strike” drone!

Every mission requires creativity — from the technical characteristics of the system to planning and pilot training.

Always Beyond!

RT @J_JHelin: Hoping that the Russian economy or military runs out of steam or collapses before the Ukrainian military does is not a strategy. We're basically just hoping that the situation resolves itself at some point.

You can hardly demand a seat at the table with such a "strategy"

Correction: likely a Mil Mi-28, not Mil Mi-8, as stated in the original post.

Those are known to be employed for repelling Ukrainian attacks with long-range OWA-UAVs on the Russian territory.
