🇺🇸🇺🇦 The US has signalled to Ukrainian President Zelensky that Ukraine must accept a US-drafted framework to end the war that proposes Kyiv giving up territory and some weapons, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters on Wednesday.

The sources said the proposals included reducing the size of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, among other things. Washington wants Kyiv to accept the main points, the sources said.

October 18, 2022 – Predicted the war should end by summer 2023.

January 8, 2023 – Stated that 2023 would be the year of victory and that Ukraine must prepare for reintegration of territories occupied for nine years.

February 23, 2023 – Said Ukraine had every chance to end the war by the end of summer 2023 and return to the 1991 borders.

July 28, 2024 – Said the war would definitely end, calling it a natural process (no specific date).

September 14, 2024 – Predicted the war would end in summer–second half of 2025 or the beginning of 2026.

October 16, 2025 – Expressed optimism that the war could end by the end of 2025, saying he was “hoping for the best.”

November 19, 2025 - Predicted an opportunity to end the war would open in Mid-February 2026
